I Hate You (A Tyrus Story)

Happy Birthday Part 1

(New chapter as promised lol)

I looked lover at Tj who seemed really into painting, I continued to paint the withered rose I started.

"So, how were your other birthdays?" Tj asked.

"Like they never existed" I sighed and continued to paint.

"Sorry," He said quietly.

"Your the first person to ever give me a gift, well besides Greg" I said quietly keeping my head down.

"Really?"

"Yeah, Thanks"

TJ'S POV

"Try on the sweater," I said getting up and grabbing it from off my bed. I was surprised when Cyrus said that it was the first gift he had gotten.

"I will later"

"Why not now?"

"Cause"

"Cause what?"

"Ugh, you can be annoying as fuck sometimes, know that?" He got up sighing.

"Yes, yes I do" He got up and put on the hoodie that looked a little oversized as the sleeves hung over his hands a little making me chuckle. I quickly grabbed my camera and took a picture of him as he made an annoyed face . He took off the hoodie he had in and bumped into the table getting paint on his shirt.

"Shit"

"I'll get you a shirt" I went into my closet and grabbed a blue shirt.

"Here" I handed it to him and he quickly went to the bathroom to change. After he came back he sat down and didn't say anything he just sat down and continued to paint.

"You want to try on the hoodie still?" He didn't respond and continued to paint ignoring my question. I sat down and looked over at him and notice small cuts on his wrist.

"Does he cut himself?" It hurt to even think of the thought of him doing that. I would never want one of my friends to hurt themselves, and when I saw the cuts on Cyrus's wrist it made me want to cry. I could never even think of what he has been through, but I wanted him to know that he has people that care about him.

I got up and grabbed my camera from my nightstand taking a picture of Cyrus as he put his hand in his face.

"Really?"

"Yes really, now smile for the camera" I hovered over him taking a picture of the dead rose he painted and it looked amazing I could tell he put a lot of detail into it.

"Hey, can we walk around for a bit?" He asked.

"Sure, where do you want to go?"

"Nowhere, I just wanna walk around"

~(A Couple Of Hours Later )~

CYRUS'S POV

"Hey there's this spot I want to go to it looks really nice at sunset and I never got a pic of it"

"So you wanna go?" I asked stopping.

"Yeah, but if you don't want to-"

"It's fine, we can go" After a long walk up a hill we were at an empty park and the sunset peeked through two trees. I sat on a swing as Tj went over to the trees to take the picture.

"Remember?" I looked over next to me and saw Bambi on the swing next to me.

"Yeah" I began to swing my feet and started to sing.

"Feet go up, feet go down, thats how you make the swing go round, drag your feet, you go slow-" I whispered starting to swing.

"Alright let's go back to Eric and Ryan's house," Tj said

"Why not yours?"

"I forgot my keys"

"Five more minutes" I closed my eyes and started to swing again. I could feel my worries fade away for a bit. The joined me swinging higher.

"You little legs to weak to go higher?" He teased. He jumped off his swing and pushed me a bit.

"I never bother to try and go higher" Tj pushed me making me swing faster as I got higher. 

"Under dog!" He rushed from under me cousin the swing to shake a bit making me chuckle. "There we go, got a smile out of you. Now let's get going. Once we got there I unlocked the door and all the lights were off.

"Hello?" I turned on the light.

"Surprise!"

"Jesus Fuck!" I yelled jumping. I looked around to see everyone smiling and balloons that said happy birthday. I looked over at Tj who had a huge smile on his face. Tears started to run down my cheeks and I ran to Eric and Ryan embracing then in a tight hug. This was my first ever birthday party, and I felt scared but happy, I didn't know what to do.

"Thank you," I said quietly wiping away my tears. After everyone said happy birthday and stuff people started to dance and I was sitting on the couch eating a muffin.

"Smile muffin boy," Tj said in front of me with his camera ready. I sighed, giving him a faint smile.

"Oh my god, you smiled willingly" 

"Shut up, did you know about all of this?"

"They had to get you out of the house somehow" He chuckled.

"Alright everybody it's time for Cyrus to open his gifts"

"People got me stuff?..." Ryan went in the closet pulling out a small table with stuff wrapped inside.

"Thanks," I said quietly.

"Ooo open the big one I bet it's from lover boy," Bambi said pointing to a big box. I rolled my eyes grabbing the box and unwrapping it.

"We didn't really know what to get you so we thought this would do," Ryan said, it was a drawing set with an easel and a whole bunch of other art supply.

"Thanks, I really like it" I gave them both a hug.

"Ours next!" Andi said excitingly as she handed a small box you put jewelry in. I opened it and there were a bracelet and a necklace she had made. I didn't tell her that I only wore Bambi's necklace cause I didn't know how she would respond.

"Buffy made the bracelet"

"Thanks Andi, Thanks Buffy" I said as she gave me a sweet smile. I put on the bracelet leaving the necklace in the box and then grabbed a card.

"I didn't really know what to get you," Jonah said rubbing his hand in the back of his neck as he let out a nervous chuckle. I opened the card and five dollars fell out and I read what he wrote to myself.

Happy birthday Cyrus we could go go-karting again

On the bottom was a picture he had of me in the go-kart. I smiled picking up the five dollars putting it in my pocket.

"Thanks Jonah" I grabbed the bill from off the floor grabbing another present.
