Wesley

Carter and Mason had sat down and told us about their past while we ate.

"Mason here used to be my bully until we had to work together at school."

"How did you know you two were in love?"

"I knew whenever my now ex friend beat Carter up in the bathroom. Seeing him unable to speak or even comprehend anything broke my heart."

"So you know how it feels to be beaten because of who you are."

"Yeah, but it gets worse from there he tried to kill me and even tried to convince him that I was dead. Two years later Carter found me."

"Really? That seems completely unbelievable."

"I know but that's what happened. That person was later sent to prison, for good."

"I hope so, he's a bad person. I'm surprised he lasted so long doing those things."

"We are too but we've learned that you can't let others stand in your way of the future. People are going to think what they want it doesn't matter what you do."

"We agree but the videos we posted were to help others."

"We know, somehow you were able to change others' minds about people like us. You were able to do something that was impossible. All we did was teach kids to respect how others make decisions and what those decisions are."

"Don't sell yourself short it's hard work to either. The good thing is we have and still are trying to change a stereotype. We are protecting others so it doesn't matter how small the change is."

We had finished our food and the server had taken the plates. We all spoke about our future plans and what we really wanted to do about others. We were there for at least three hours before exchanging numbers and leaving. Carter and Mason got in a Ford while the rest of us got into some car that I've never even seen the logo, though I think it's a Toyota. Our new friends were the first to leave and following after them a few cars. It was a good five minutes before we had even left to go home. Yvonne was about passed out in the back seat, she was exhausted.

"Did you enjoy dinner babe?"

"Babe? Hmmm what's the special occasion? You never call me babe."

"Well maybe it's time to start."

"You're a nut."

"A nut that loves you."

"I loves you too."

Peter rustled my hair gently and sped up to go home. We were both tired. I felt my eyes grow heavy and I could see that Peters cheery seductive attitude was fading. He was repeatedly yawning and his eyes were watery.

"Pete do you need me to drive?"

"HMM? Oh, no you don't need to I'll be okay."

"Peter I wouldn't press our luck."

"We're so close to home."

Peter flipped on his blinker on and turned down the street in which Yvonne lives on. He drove past what seemed like 20 houses before he pulled into hers. I leaned back and gently shook Yvonne awake. She slowly opened her eyes to see blinding porch lights. When focused she knew it was her house and stumbled out of the car.

"Do you need one of us to help you?"

"No no I got it."

She slowly walked to her door before opening it and stumbling in. Peter didn't seem to wait for her to close the door. He immediately sped out of the drive and continued our way home.

"Peter you really look tired."

"I'm fine"

A couple minutes had went by and we pulled in to his driveway. He slowly got out of the car and tried to walk over to my door. Before he got there I opened and hopped out. Because of my lack of balance I fell on the gravel in front of me feeling little sharp stones poke at my knees and hands. I attempted to stand back up but upon looking up I see Peter knelt down beside me trying to help.

"Peter you really shouldn't."

"Shouldn't what? Help?"

"Uh yes... one of these days you won't be here and I'll be so used to you helping that I won't make it."

"Wesley.... we've dated for like two months you'll have plenty of time to learn but right now you have me. I'm not just going to watch you fall."

"You're very sweet. How did I get so lucky with you?"

"Um you're wrong I got lucky with you."

My face turned red, something that hasn't happened in awhile. It's not like he could see it there are bruises all over my face.

Peter and I walked into the house to see that his parents had already went to bed.

"Shhhh they sleep lightly so we have to be quiet."

"Peter I know and there is a creak on the stairs.... 2 and 3 to be exact."

Peter gave me a weird look but I couldn't see it in the dark all I could see was a raised eyebrow.

"Don't give me that you.... you.... snot."

"Really that's your come back."

"I'm not the smartest just get up the stairs."

I assume Peter went up the stairs I saw a pair of long legs go up the stairs. After the mysterious legs I went up to see Peter chilling on his bed. I quickly close the door and give him a very disappointed look.

"What it's comfortable."

"Yes yes I know I've slept in the bed."

I sat in the music chair relaxing and sighing at the long day.

"Same here, same here."

"Ha hahahahah"

"Why you laughing?"

"I just noticed how crazy our summer has been... what about when we get to school?"

"Well with those videos it should do something."

"No, most the hate comments were from my school. I guess I'll have to learn to fight haha."

"Nah you won't. Mom and dad say that it's too risky to return to my school."

"Oh. Well where are you gonna go?"

Peter just smirked at me.
