"I can't believe Arthur sometimes," Merlin shouted as he raged around the room that was too small for his annoyance.
"Give him time, Merlin," Gaius interjected, "he will come around."
"I literally saw Ygraine conversing with Morgana, but that prat's head is too big to see any sense!" Merlin's robes flashed around the room like lightning, his voice thunder as he shouted obscurities and insults directed at the King.
"Arthur has wanted to see his mother all his life, and understandably, he wants it to be real. He won't see sense." Gaius's attempts at defending the King were futile, for they did nothing to deter Merlin from his rant.
"What a cabbage head!"

"Ygraine, is all well at Camelot?" Morgana purred through the magical window that allowed her to speak to her spy.
"Most certainly not, my mistress," Ygraine muttered, her tongue lingering on her teeth maybe just a little too long, maybe just a little too creepily*. "The King and Merlin are at odds. They argue whether or not I am a threat. Merlin sees the truth, but Arthur is in denial, he believes everything, m'lady.
"Very good. We approach Camelot quickly, our journey will last but a few more days."
Ygraine perked up at the thought of seeing her mistress. "You will be here?"
"Yes, imbecile," Morgana growled, "that's what I just said."
Ygraine bowed her head in shame, "forgive me."
"You are lucky, for I am a merciful ruler. When I sit on the throne of Camelot, you will be held in the highest esteem for your services."
Grinning at the idea, Ygraine nodded wildly, her eyes bulging. "You're so very kind, Morgana."
Morgana's dull eyes sparkled with greed. She was poised like the queen she so desperately wanted to be, her tall, straight demeanour giving her exactly the intimidating and regal look she relentlessly demanded. Her rat's nest was piled high as usual on her head, stray threads falling down her back like tails. Her black dress was the aura of darkness that clung tight to her figure in intricate designs. However a Queen she looked, Morgana's dark bags and gaunt skin said otherwise. Planning the demise of an entire city wasn't easy work, and the toll it was taking was obvious with one glance at the High Priestess.
At the sound of a voice, Morgana's head snapped irritably towards the source.
"M'lady, dawn approaches," one of Morgana's soldiers alerted the sorceress.
She forced a stony smile onto her face, and nodded her thanks. She returned back to Ygraine."We must be going, good luck."
"And you, m'lady," Ygraine bowed her head to her mistress.
Morgana waved her hand through the connection, and she was left alone in her tent.

"There has to be a spell somewhere," Merlin muttered to himself. His nose had been in his spell book for hours on end. He wasn't even sure what he was looking for, he just wanted proof that Ygraine wasn't who she said she was. He wanted Arthur to snap out of his stupid daydream and see that it was a trap.
"Have you considered shades?"
"Of course, Gaius," Merlin said, maybe a little too snappy.
"A blood crystal?"
"She's not wearing one."
"A glamour?"
"I've already tried that."
"Well then I have no idea," Gaius sighed, "she could be using necromancy for all I know."
Merlin considered this option, "You know, you might be onto something." He frantically flipped the pages, making them whirl like he was a storm. "This spell!" Merlin pointed at some complicated-looking scribbles, rising suddenly from his seat. "I've done this spell before, when Morgana used necromancy on Lancelot to infiltrate Camelot."
With that, Merlin raced off into the castle depths in his triumph.
"Wait a minute, boy!" Gaius looked around at books strewn around the room and on the furniture. "Who's going to clean up this mess?"

I apologise for this being so short, I just couldn't bring myself to think of a plot. There was gonna be more in this chapter, but I don't really care anymore. Anyone want this to continue? Cause I don't. Sorry. I just can't think of anything good.
Have a nice day!
