Ice Queen (Book One)

Our camp was finally over. Let me say I was a bit sad though because  I got three whole days away from my siblings.

Speaking of them I wonder what they are doing right now. I even don't know whether I'll be going to magic school.

As at now we have been asked to pack our stuff into the bus. During these three days, my team and I have been on the lookout for any suspicious activity.

And by my team, I mean the twins and and together with my guardian. I haven't been sleeping properly. Thinking about these sudden appearance of the creatures.

"Eclipstar are you okay?" Nina asked me.

"Yeah sorry I zoned out."came my reply.
Like that, we reached school in no time. Luckly, it was nearing closing. U packed my things in my car. I made a note to thank Eyrx later.

"Looks like her highness is going somewhere" came in Lucas's voice scaring me.

"Look I have no time for jokes gotta go somewhere" I said. "Which is?" He questioned.

I ignored him and pulled him to my car.
"Hey hold up, where exactly are we going?"he asked.

"Can't you shut up for once?" J snapped shutting him up.

I drove to my house. "Follow me" I said dragging him inside.

I saw my parents sitting in the hall having a good time." Mum we have a visitor " I told her.

"I'm coming" I heard her from the door.
She teleported to us from the door.

"Who is this Rexina?"mum asked. "A friend" I replied.

" I don't think so."she said. Watching me.
"Where did you get that necklace?" she pointed out to me.

"There is someone I'd like you to meet when I get back."  I said

"Okay. Your dad will like to see you."she dragged me inside.

Dad was seated comfortably on the couch." Dad you wanted to see me"

"Yes and who is that behind you?"he asked. "A friend"I said annoyed. I even thank goodness mg siblings weren't home.

He nodded his head at me smiling for no reason." Let's go" I dragged Lucas with me outside.

We walked in silence until Lucas decided to break the silence.

"So, do you parents have magic?"he asked. "Yeah its in our family." I replied.

"What about you?" I asked. "Same for us" he replied.

When we were deep on the woods,we stopped by a tree with blue leaves.

"Step back" I ordered to which he obeyed.

'resurgemus, sed magica mea bibliotheca occultatum' 

I said and hit my palm firmly on the ground below me.

A strong breeze of cold ice hit my face making me fall back as well as Lucas.

An ice library arose from beneath the ground. It was a huge castle like library that looked ancient like.

It had frosts symbols both on the inside and outside.

"Woah its awesome" Lucas  gapped.
"Let's get in" I pulled him inside not before making sure we were being watched.

We entered the library which contained lots of magical stuffs like books and a piece of stones from many kingdom.

This library is shared with my siblings even my parents. My ancestors to used it.

"Don't touch anything" i said. We walked past many shelves full of books.

"What does this book do?"he asked making my eyes go wide.

" No touching "I say closing that particular book.

I pulled a book in the shelf that was near to the wall and the shelf moved apart making a gateway in the wall for us to enter.

Spiral ice staircase was formed beneath us. We walked for a few minutes before coning to a door leading us to the magical library itself.
" And we have arrived" I announced.

"Wow its beautiful" Lucas said. "It has all the answers we need, so let's look for why creatures are suddenly appearing.

I took a book that was entitled, mythical creatures. It had a green colour with its words written in gold and with a cursive font.

We read from page to page till we found out what we were looking for.

" It says only a one and only true queen will be able to restore the lost and forgotten kingdom of ice" I translated it from Latin to English.

"To do this you need to go on a journey which is difficult, full of betrayal, sorrow and full of danger." Lucas added.

"You speak Latin?" I asked surprised.
"Yeah its a native language from where I come from" he said.

"So who is the ice queen?" I asked confused. "That will be on you to answer"Lucas said.

"But am no ice queen" I said.
You are stronger than what you think the voice said in my head.

How do you know? and let me ask a question, what's your name? I said to the voice.

As expected you are full of surprises master. My name is Caelen and am your guardian that have been assigned to look after you.

Can you show yourself. As you wish master.

The necklace on my neck glowed then, Caelen emerged from the necklace.

"I suppose you need answers and the young boy hiding behind that pillar can you show yourself." Caelen said surprising me.

How did he know someone is here except us? I thought. Lucian came out from his hiding spot.

If it isn't the sneaky twin then who else I asked myself.

"And what were you doing over there?" I asked folding my arms.

"I was following you and ended up here" he said shrugging it like it wasn't a big deal.

"You followed us! Are you serious!" I snapped dropping the temperature a few degrees.

"Uh..is it me or its getting cooler here"Lucas prompted me.

"Sorry"I said cooling my anger. " There there, now lets not end up fighting should we?" Caelen interrupted.

"Sit around. I am going to say this only once so listen carefully"

Short notice!!!!!

Hello fellow readers. I'll be updating very Sunday. I know its far but I'll be busy with school so I won't get time to update so I chose Sunday. I know you'll be probably asking why Sunday. The truth is Saturdays too I'll be going to school(classes) and when I get home I'll be tired. I'll be feeling lazy to update that why I'll be updating on Sundays.

For now the story will keep going at a slow pace. Let's read to find out what Caelen will tell them in the next chapter.
