Ice Queen (Book One)

Sit around. I am going to say this only once so listen carefully" Caelen said to us.

"Five thousand years ago, we had different elemental clans each forming a specific kingdom. We the major kingdoms which were: air,water ,fire and  ice. All consisting of smaller clans that make up a kingdom. All was going on between the kingdoms until one faithful day something disastrous happened."

He paused to look at us. "What happened?" We asked him impatiently.

He sighed, then continued. "In those times it was a taboo to have an offspring of different races. Your great grandmother mother Eclipstar, broke this taboo. She was from the fire kingdom and your great grandfather was the king of glaciers (ice) had a mixed race child. This lead to a great confusion."

"So in order to settle this issue the elders of each clan had a meeting. It was decided to have mixed races. But what no one new it will lead to something bigger in the future."

"Each mixed race had special powers causing a lot of fights on who should rule their kingdoms. It lead to a great war."

" I don't think I should continue."he paused watching me intently.

" What are you hiding, Caelen?" I asked skeptically.

"I never wanted to tell you this but promise me you won't do anything stupid" he said sighing.

"Unfortunately, the mixed races won the war but didn't kill everyone. The kings and queens of each clan escaped to another settlement and produced until it lead to your parents."

"What I have to say is your siblings aren't your siblings Eclipstar and so are your parents. They are guardians your parents gave to them to look after you."

"Your twin brother is related to you but he didn't take after your fathers ice power but took your mother's. You on the other hand took after your father." Ezra isn't Ezrat's real twin. Both of them had their twins killed in the war. Ezra is from the fire kingdom the only heir surviving and Ezrat is from the water kingdom and the only heir to the throne surviving. "

"All the people from the air kingdom were wiped out same for the rest. But not entirely because we have you and your siblings and these to princes."

He pointed to the two twins. I watch their shocked faces. I cant believe this. All my sixteen years on earth I've been lied to about everything.

"So what happened to my parents?" I asked instantly regretting the answer I've been dreading.

"I am sorry" he replied. Your siblings should also come out of their hiding spot.

All three of them came to the light with shocked faces. Eyrx hugged him with tears in his eyes.

"I'm so lucky to have you sister I'll stop being an ass to you" he sniffed in my
shirt.

"Stop being dramatic Eyrx" I scolded him.
" I'm also lucky to have your annoying self to be my brother"I said patting his head.

I look up to Ezra and Ezrat to see their teary expressions and their pets soothing them.

"So what has this got to do with me?" I asked Caelen.

"You are the only one that can restore peace and reclaim the throne that is rightfully yours" he said.

"So if I reclaim my throne what happens to the other kingdoms as well" I asked.

"They also get theirs as well. It was said the ice kingdom was the most powerful kingdom among all kingdoms. That why all this chaos started."

"People wanted the power of the ice but it rejected them so they had to destroy it. That vile man Graymond" he says his name with disgust.

"Who's that?" Ezra asks. "I will tell you later. Now you guys ave to get ready for this journey ahead." He goes on.

My mind was buzzing with unanswered questions. Why does he want my throne?
Why does he hate my family.

" Because he didn't agree with the mixed breed and his wife was killed by your father for treachery. " he spits out.

All I do is nod my head. Too much to take in one day. My parent have a lot to tell me. Caelen disappeared to God knows where.

We planned on meeting in my house all six of us. But we didn't plan for the unexpected.

At night we sat around a camp fire as my parents explained everything to us including Lucas and Lucian.

They left us to clear our minds. I gazed at the stars absentmindedly. Someone trying to destroy all four kingdoms but I feel that they aren't telling me everything.

"So what do we do?"Lucian asks for the first time." I don't know." I say still gazing at the stars.

"Why is karma a bitch like this?" Ezrat spat frowning.

"This whole thing is confusing let alone we being heirs to thrones it still doesn't sit well with me"Ezra said thinking.

"We just have to on this dangerous journey and after this shit is over we are going to party"Eyrx cheers.

'Dumbass'he doesn't even know if all of us will return in full piece I shake my head.

I felt something come my way and I used my force field to protect us.

I saw my parents rush out with panic in their eyes. A bright light surrounded them changing them to their real form.

They were elves. Elves were known for their pure magic and healing abilities. My dad threw a light toward the source and it revealed a spartae.

They were known for their violence and they are spirits with incredible magic.

I felt exhausted from the force field I created to protected." I can't hold much longer do something !" I yell.

Ezra blasted my field with her fire along with Lucas making us fall back. Ezra was angry.

More of those creatures started appearing from nowhere. I used my ice daggers to cut them but they keep coning. Where the jell was Caelen I thought.

The rest were having fun killing them. I heard it behind me before it could jump on me someone grabbed my wrist and pulled me close to their chest. I was too uncomfortable seeing my position with Caelen right now.

"Master concentrate" he yell through the noise and I nodded. "We are getting out of here you understand." I nodded once again.

He used his magic to protect the rest and recited a strange magic making them disappear.

My parent were sprawled on floor lifeless. I jerked away from Caelen grip and rushed to them.

"Mum,Dad! Please wake up!" I cry. "Our time is up sweetie be strong for us and tell your siblings we love them very much"with that they stop moving.

As if a cord has been ripped from my brain, I cry  very loud and ice spikes just fly everywhere.

I had one mission to kill whoever is behind this.

I was lifted off my feet and Caelen led me through a portal he created.

Everything becomes blank after.

What do you think folks! I wanted to surprise you. Since today is a public holiday in my country I wanted to write this part for you. That's all. The history is confusing I myself don't know what will happen  😁but I know this is where the journey begins
