"I can explain" I say walking up to them. Chelsea puts her hand up to stop me and then walks off shaking her head.

"Why? Whydidn't you tell us Lexi?" Josh asks. I feel my eyes start to water.

"I couldn't tell you" I say quietly.

"Why couldn't yo tell us Lexi?" Grant asks angrily.

"My world is dangerous" I say quietly again.

"I'm sorry what was that, you'll have to speak up" Grant says in an angry yet sarcastic tone.

"My world is dangerous!"I yell and the tears begin to fall and ruin my makeup "The world I live in is farmore dangerous than the one you thought I did!" Everyone goes silent.

"You thought I was just a fragile little girl who lost her dad and feels lonely because her brother is alwaysaway at college. You thought I was normal! Well I'm not normal!

"So who do you think you are coming here and telling me I should have told you. I've barely known you 5 months, I didn't have to tell you anything!" I yell. The guys look at me with guilt yet anger in their eyes.

The tears continue to fall. When no one speaks I turn around and leave. The crew follows. When we arrive at my house I decide something.

"We need to leave" I say. Everyone turns to me.

"What?" Emily asks.

"We can't stay here. It's too dangerous. With the Silver Bullets on our backs and more people finding out about what we do we cant stay here"

"She's right" Andrew says.

"When should we leave?" Max asks.

"When Christian is out of hospital. Then we go" I say. Everyone nods and we begin to plan everything out.

1 monthlater

Chelsea and the others have tried to speak to me but I just ignore them. Christian left hospital last night after being fully healed. We are just waiting for him to finish packing.

When he has finished we take one last look at all our houses.

Me and Max left a note for our mom before we left for Christian.

Mom,

We are so sorry but we can't stay here. By the time you're reading this we would have already left. Don't try and look for us. We will have changed our numbers and deleted our social media.

"Ticket please" The man says to me. I hand him my ticket and he sends me to the plane.

It must be hard. To lose your husband and then your children. You don't understand how this kills us to mom. The truth is, we got involved with street racing and things got bad.

I wait in the line that will eventually be taken out to the plane. Max comes behind me and rubs my shoulders as comfort.

The whole crew has leftas well. You can contact the police or anyone but you won't find us. We may come back some day.

We board the plane and I take the window seat next to Ryder. I stare out the window as a lone tear escapes my eye. This is the last time we will see Chicago.

But for now mom, we love you and we always will. We just hope you know that whatever happens, you're safe. And so are we. We love you mom.

Love,

Lexi and Max

"She'll be fine" Ryder assures me, talking about my mom.

"I know" I whisper.
