I tweet and eat my cereal.
“Good morning, sweetie” dad says and kisses the top of my head.
“Morning, dad” I smile and he sits down.
“Did Matt tell you you’re going to your school later?”
“Uhm… No… I thought I stopped going to school”
“Yes, you’ve stopped but you need to get your stuffs in your locker and say goodbye to your friends”
“Oh”
“I’m just going to go to my office. Need to fix something but I’ll be back before dinner. Don’t burn the house down, okay?”
“Okay and dad I’ve made you lunch” I say, giving him a brown paper bag.
“What am I? Twelve?” He asks playfully and I pout.
“I’ve made you your favorite sandwich” He chuckles and takes it.
“Thank you, sweetie” He kisses my forehead and grabs his suitcase. He left and I put the cereal bowl in the sink.
“The dinosaur is awake!” Matt yells as he gets down on the staircase.
“Morning, dinosaur” I say and clean the cereal bowl.
“What’s for breakfast?”
“Cereal”
“Can we have Chinese?” I sigh and nod. He screams and goes over the telephone. He orders and smiles. I sit on the couch and watch some cartoons.
“A fourteen year old girl still watches cartoons” Matt says and I glare at him.
“A sixteen year old boy still has a SpongeBob stuffed toy” I say back and he pretends to cry.
“You’re mean” He whines and I laugh. After a while, he goes back to his normal self and bothers me.
“Is there a boy in your life?”
“Uhm… I have you and dad” He glares at me and I smirk
“You know that’s not what I meant”
“I have Braaaad” He groans and I chuckle.
“The one who has curly hair”
“He’s so cool, oh my” I say with dreamingly eyes.
“Enough of this, I mean is there someone courting you?”
“Oh. There are lots of them”
“Really? When can I meet them?”
“Jeez, Matt. I’m just messing with you. I’m still young”
He pouts and I giggle. The doorbell rings and I get up to open the door.
“Brandon?” He smiles and scratches the back of his head.
“Hey, Michelle” He says and I smile.
“Aren’t you supposed to be in school?”
“Well, I thought you are getting bullied again since you didn’t come to school yesterday”
“Well, the truth is I’m moving back to Virginia”
“Really? When are you leaving?”
“In two days”
