Bradley

I squinted at my phone screen, which read 6:15 am. First day of classes and I'm already planning on not attending 3 out of 5. Fuck I had a hangover.

I brushed my teeth and was satisfied when I got rid of the bad taste in my mouth. I took a quick shower and then I went to grab a granola bar and water, but I noticed there was a purse sitting on my couch. That can't be Justine's, there's no way I could have...no.

I rushed back into my bedroom and indeed there was a woman in my bed, I have no clue who she is or where I ended up last night but, this can't be good. She moved and I practically jumped out of my skin to get out of the room.

"Good morning handsome."

I turned back towards the bed reluctantly, "uuum good morning..."

"Last night got pretty out hand," she laughed and tousled her hair.

The hell does she mean, a little out of hand?

"But... I should get going, I have class in a few hours." She continued.

"Oh uh yeah I was just about to head out myself, don't worry about the door, it uh, it automatically locks."

I pray to god I do not run into this woman at all ever. I don't even know her goddamned name!

"I'll see you around Bradley. Your dad was right, we look damned good together." And with that, she disappeared into my bathroom.

Oh man, I've never wanted to go to class so bad in my life. I grabbed my keys and headed straight for my car. If I call my dad he'll ask me who she was and I have no clue. Fuck! He pisses me off. He meddles in my life more than a jealous girlfriend.

I backed out of my parking space and made my way toward the building I had class in, hoping I would get a good enough parking spot. The thoughts of bottle blonde in my bed started to fog up my mind. Who was she? I remember getting to the party last night and Sam and I took a few shots, but after that, it's all a blur, the faces, the amount of drinks I had. How'd I get back to my dorm? I'm going to assume the blonde in my bed got me back due to the fact that I am not wrapped around a tree and my cars still in great condition.

What did she mean that my dad was right, and that we looked damned good together? I know by the circumstances I likely slept with that blonde, but I'm really really hoping that I didn't. Did I even use a condom? Fuck. I punched the steering wheel when I got to a red light and the horn honked loudly. Justine.

I remember I went to that party in a way to spite Justine for all the confusion she's been putting me through. She seemed like she wanted me and that just made me want to pursue her even more, and now she's probably never going to speak to me if she finds out about this. I needed to find that blonde and figure out what actually happened.

Eventually I found a place to park once I got to the building my class was in and I had to make my way through the crowds of freshman trying to find their classes. I was glad I was just going to go to my classes and listen to my narcissistic teachers blab on and on about their lives and what achievements they've accomplished, before they handed us our syllabus and let us be on our merry ways.

Lucky me, no one I knew was in my first class. I made my way to my second class and that's where things started to go terribly wrong for me. Justine was in my class as well as the blonde. If I could drop freshman seminar, I would. Justine thankfully was doodling on a piece of paper and didn't see me enter the classroom. The blonde girl winked at me and waved for me to take a seat beside her. I kindly declined her offer and made me way all the way to the back of the class. It felt like my legs were going to buckle under me, that's how nervous I was trying to not have Justine spot me.

The teacher started to do roll call. "Justine Holloway." Justine didn't look up from her doodles but she raised her hand. This was my moment to figure out the blondes name. Mr. Hanley continued going through names. "Bradley Jameston." I slowly raised my hand. Justine turned to face me. I couldn't make out the expression on her face when she figured out I was in one of the classes, and I was going to be for five months. "Stephanie Klein." The blonde raised her hand and gave a snooty, "Right here." I pulled out my phone and jotted her name in my notes. I closed my eyes and tried to think of last night and when I came across this Stephanie. I remember now! I was probably pouring my third drink when she approached me.

We were dismissed in thirty minutes and I practically bolted out of my seat. I wasn't going to any of my other classes. I could get the remaining syllabuses online. I was too hungover for this shit. "You look like crap." I recognized the voice and turned around to see Justine standing there, grasping to her books. I nodded my head and cleared my throat. "How was the party last night?" I could tell by the tone in her voice that she couldn't care less. "It was.. interesting. Look, I really need to go." I felt like I was going to vomit and it was going to taste like regret. "Too hungover to hold a miniscule conversation?"

"Look, Justine, I really don't want to do this right now. Maybe later."

Justine had her mouth open, ready to say something but my name was being called out. "Bradley! It's great that you're in class with me! I wish this was our first class of the day though. We could ride together," Stephanie said. I rubbed at the back of my neck as Justine glared at me and Stephanie.

Stephanie placed her hand over her mouth. "Oop. Did I interuppt something? I'm sorry. Here, we can just talk later." Stephanie took my hand and jotted her number on my wrist before shooting me a wink and walking away.

"What was that all about?" Justine questioned.

"Good question, I'll get the answer to you as soon as I get it." I glanced at my phone.

"She's pretty, you interested in her?" She asked.

"I just met her last night Justine. It really isn't tha--"

"Whatever I need to get to class anyway. I'll see you around."

"Justine, wait. At least let me walk you." I attempted to cool things over but she just shut me down again.

"Goodbye Bradley." I watched her retreating figure with regret.

Things are so fucked up right now and I don't even know where to start fixing anything.
