"Elijah, I have to have a day off," Shaylee told her siblings who were gathered in the living room watching the morning news.
"Why?" Elijah spoke, but before she could explain, the weather on the newswoman beat the vampire to it.
"Today in Forks it seems like a clear and sunny day at a top of 75 degrees-"
"Save your explanation," Elijah smirked. "Can't have you sparkling in front of all your peers."
The day went slow. Her siblings were pretty boring if you asked her. They either watched tv or did some reading. There was minimal conversation between the four and the three eldest Mikaelson's were comfortable with that.
The sun eventually set over hours of unbearable boredom, and Shaylee found herself getting hungry. She hadn't fed in days and her eyes were turning to a dark shade of black.
"Guys! All the blood is gone." Shaylee called from the empty fridge.
"So go find yourself a mountain lion to sink your teeth into!" Klaus told his sister.
She rolled her eyes, but if that's what it took to escape her hunger and boredom, she was son board.
While running through the woods at impossible speed, she heard a noise. Possibly dinner. She chased the sound and noticed a stag drinking from a small pond. The stag perked it's head up as it heard the noise of the original stopping behind a small tree. With perfect timing and speed, she pounced and perfectly tackled the stag.
She sunk her teeth into the struggling animal. Eventually, the struggling came to a stop as it was finally drained of all its blood. The attack left a huge mess of blood at soaked the dirt and sticks that littered the forest.Morning came and the Mikaelson's sat still as statues with perfect posture while watching the morning news as always.
"-Mason County. A local security guard at the Grisham Mill was tragically killed in a brutal animal attack-"
"This is the fifth animal attack, Elijah. It won't take long for them to gain suspicion." Rebekah announced, "what if we have to leave?"
"Please, sister,'' Klaus sighed, "vampires would be the last thing the foolish humans would think of."
Elijah sighed and rolled his eyes and the unnecessary bickering. "Shaylee, wait in the car.'' He demanded, frustrated.
The blonde nodded at her brother's command and obeyed.
She sat in the front seat of his Mercedes and boredly waited for minutes.
Elijah joined her moments later in the driver seat of his ride."Elijah I have a field trip tomorrow and I didn't get the permission slip because I was absent yesterday. Would you mind coming in to pay for me?" Shaylee asked as she plugged her seatbelt in.
