The search for the invaders continued. The Originals had only been in the state for a few months and had already had a lot on their plate.

With the intruder invading their land, Bella Swan knowing of their secret and Niklaus breathing down Shaylee's neck because of their secret, the Originals, well, they felt nothing, but Elijah had a lot much pressure him and he was oblivious to it.

The intruders were smart, but the Originals were smarter. Behind the officers back, they were doing some investigating themselves.

"I heard sheriff Swan mention a human footprint," Elijah told his siblings who assisted him on the search.

"Well, we know what that means." Klaus snarled as he and his siblings walked along the dirt path side by side with Shaylee stumbling a bit behind her older siblings.

"It's not an animal?" Rebekah asked, rhetorically, acting dumb to mock her younger brother.

"Mock me all you want, sister, you and Elijah might like to pretend you're all better than me, but I've got Shaylee on my side, and together we would annihilate you." Klaus joked, "right, baby sister?"

Shaylee stopped, observing a clue that caught her eye.

"Shaylee?" Klaus turned around, followed by Elijah and Rebekah.

Shaylee sat crouched beside the footprint that Elijah mentioned earlier.

"Is that it?" Klaus asked, "We came all this way for a footprint?"

Elijah adjusted his tie before crouching beside his little sister. "Good find, Shaylee. If these two weren't bickering maybe we might not have walked right past it."

"If not for you three excluding me from everything maybe I would've walked past it, too." She stood up took a large breath through her nose before running to the left between a bunch of trees. She smelt the air and the trees once more.

"There's certainly more than one," Shaylee announced, smelling s tree that smelt of three unfamiliar scents. "Three, maybe."

"The print looks days old,'' Elijah announced.

"They could be anywhere by now," Rebekah grunted. "We've hit a dead end."

The three siblings shot their heads behind them and Shaylee lifted her head to look at the path they came from.

"Humans," Elijah announced, "it's the sheriff. We best be off then."

"Last one to house is in charge of collecting next weeks blood supply?" Klaus suggested.

Elijah flashed an agreeing smile and his sisters giggled, clearly up for a race before the originals embarked on a spontaneous adventure through the woods leaving no trace of their presence behind for the authorities to see.

The Mikaelson's were running at impossible speed. They were faster than any existing vampire. All ran fast, slowly overtaking the other. Klaus was coming first with Elijah following after and then Rebekah and then Shaylee trailing not far behind. They all ran with foolish grins as they ducked the obstacles of nature.
