"So..we are okay?"

Cheryl P.O.V

What a tea? I just caught My sweet cousin Betty locking lips with the ginger boy. I giggled to myself as I recorded every bit of their moment for great show tomorrow at school.

Jughead P.O.V

I entered the school with my whole group of serpents and were welcomed by Archie and Veronica. I looked behind them and saw Betty standing there. I smiled at her and she did the same. I glanced over at cheryl and she was... Smirking. “What's up with her? ” I thought. We got our schedules and papers and started heading towards classes. I was going towards Betty when someone tapped on my shoulder.

I looked behind and saw Cheryl standing.

“Cheryl” I said in not so welcoming voice.

She rolled her eyes and said, “Jughead I have really something important to show you.” She said and took out her phone from her purse.

I looked at her in confusion and then looked at the phone. My heart was shattered into pieces after watching the clip. My Betty was kissing none other than Archie.

“I-It's surely happened when we're on break.. Yeah? ” I said stuttering my own words.

“By the way, it's from Christmas. Bye toodles. ” She said and walked away. I stood there still not believing my eyes, what I have just saw. I was looking at the floor hiding my hurt from others.

“Jug” She said and I looked up to meet her eyes. They were worried. They were asking if anything is wrong. If it is, it will be okay. My eyes slowly started to tear up,

“What wrong? ” She asked really worried and placed her hands in my cheeks. I was really confused at that moment. Which Betty is this, one who cares about me Or the second one who just cheated on me.

“You kissed Archie” I said and her hand dropped from my face. There was something there.

“I.. Uh.. Who t-told you? ” She asked not seeing in my eyes. She was looking on the floor.

“Doesn't matter!! Did you kiss him when we were together? ” I was now angry.

“Jug.. I'm... I.. ” She started, but I cut her off

“You know what Betty. I guess we both know the answer. But I want to know why? Why you kissed him when we were together at that time. Wasn't I good enough for you? Are you having your feelings back for Archie. Are you just gonna dump me now??”

She looked at me with wide eyes and started to tear up. She grabbed my face with both of her hands.

“No Jug.. No. That kiss doesn't meant anything to me. I love you and only you. It.. It's just was a stupid mistake Jug. Believe me I'm truly sorry for what I did. You are everything to me. I'm sorry. ” She said and cried.

“I don't think so” I said and walked away. I could here her voice screaming my name but I didn't looked back. I wasn't feeling better so I left home early. When I reached home, my phone was blowing up with Betty's calls and messages. I turned it silent and went to bed. Just thinking about the clip which I was in the morning brought water in my eyes. It's not easy to watch the love of your life with someone else. It wasn't easy for me. It was not.

Some minutes later there was a knock on the door, I assumed it was Betty. I opened the door.

“Betty If you... ” I said rudely and looked carefully, it's wasn't Betty. It was Toni.

“Toni” I said.

“Jughead, how are you? ” She said excitedly. Toni was out of town 1 week ago and now is back. I slightly smiled and she guessed something was really wrong.

“Wanna talk about it? ” She asked and I
shook my head. I stepped aside to let her come inside. I told her everything that happened. She listened carefully and nodding in every sentence.

“So I.. I don't know what to do now?”  I said and leaned back closing my eyes.

I heard her standing up.

“Jughead, as much as Betty is wrong, you are also wrong in it. ”

She said and I raised my eyebrow in confusion.

“Yes, Jug when she needed you was not there with her. You were so involved in serpents that you forget you have a girlfriend. Can you remember the last time you took her out for a date? The answer is No right? Because that's what you did. You didn't provided her the comfort that she needed the most at that time when she found her own father is a serial killer. Also when Black hood was captured,it should be you and her not that ginger boy. Then you except to go back in her life and act like everything's fine. I am definitely not saying Betty is right. She is also wrong but cutting her out of your life will not solve the problem.” She said and it kind of opened my eyes. She was right, it's my fault also. If I was there with Betty catching Black hood and gave her time then none of this shit would happen.

I stood up quickly taking my jacket and heading towards the door.

"Where you going? ” Toni asked from behind.

“To settle something” I said and she smirked knowing that what I was referring.

I pull out my phone and saw dozens of calls and messages from Betty. I called her and she picked up in 2 rings,

“Hey Juggi... I mean Jughead. ” I could fell the happiness in her voice that I finally called her.

“Pops, now? ” I asked her.

“Ye-Yeah sure... I w-will be there” She said and I hung up.

I hop on my motorbike and went to Pops diner. I parked my bike and saw the blonde beauty sitting in one of the booths through window. I took a deep breath and went inside the diner. When I entered it, she looked back and I could she is was so glad to see me. She stood up and I walked towards her. We sat on opposite sides.

“Jug” she said sweetly enough to melt my heart.

I signed.

“Betty, I'm sorry for putting all blame on you. I'm sorry for blowing you off and not listening to you and your explanation. ” She looked at me wide eyes still surprised with the words I said.

She grabbed my hands that were placed on table.

“No Jug it's not your fault. I have also made mistakes and I regret it, believe me. I love you and only you. ” She said with tears in her eyes. I removed my one hand from her hands and wipe her tears with my thumb.

“So.. We are okay?” She asked.

“Well I need some time to get over with it but it will be soon.” I said.

She looked sad but nodded in agreement,
“Okay I understand”
