Part Sixteen- Movie Night

Toni's POV

Saturday, October 28th

It's been 2 weeks since the party at Cheryl's. I've seen her every single day since, it felt good to be able to help her, to be there for her. I even stayed over at her place or she stayed over at mine just so she wouldn't have to be alone. She seems okay now, I'm not saying she's over it. I'm sure she'll never get over it. But she seems better, and I'm glad about that.

I was at work currently, I had a shift until 4pm. I don't mind work, but it means that I can't be with Cheryl. Luckily Hogeye doesn't care what I do at all, therefore I can text Cheryl as much as I'd like to. I was wiping down the bar while a serpent initiation was happening for some woman in her mid 40s on stage. I never watch them, it's disgusting that we have to strip for these pervy men, but I did it anyway. I was midway through serving a customer a drink when my phone vibrated in my pocket, so I handed him his drink, threw the money in the register and checked my phone.

Blossom🤩❤️: hey TT, there's a new movie coming out today, would you like to go and see it?

TT💚: i'd love to cher, what time?

Blossom🤩❤️: around 8?

TT💚: perfect

Blossom🤩❤️: great, you can invite your serpent friends, so far jason, betty, archie, veronica and kevin are coming. tell jug to come especially!

TT💚: ok will do, gotta get back to work ttyl

I was pretty disappointed when she said about her friends coming. I love that she's got more friends and everything but I thought she was asking me on a date. I need to stop getting my hopes up about her, we're just friends!

I was just finishing up my shift when the boys walked in to the bar. "Tiny can you do our drinks before you leave? Marcus doesn't pour anywhere near enough alcohol in them." Sweetpea whined at me. "Sure Sweets, only if you'll all come see a movie with Cheryl and her friends later?" I bribed them all. "Sure Tiny we'd love to." Fangs smiled at me. I poured all of their usual drinks and set them all down in front of them.

I made my way out of the bar and hopped on my bike. I drove back to the trailer so I could shower. "Hey Tones." My mom spoke as I walked through the door. "Hey mom, how's your day been?" I asked, pulling her into a hug. "It's been good sweetie, yours?" She asked me, releasing her grip across my back. "Pretty boring, work wasn't exciting or anything. But I'm going to see a movie with Cheryl tonight." I smiled. Her face lit up as a huge grin spread across her face. "No mom, the boys and her friends are coming too." I said, dropping the smile that was on my face.

She understandably nodded and left me to go shower. Once I was out, I dried and curled my hair and chose out my outfit. I threw on a checkered skirt and a tube top with a flannel around my waist and my serpent jacket over the top.

The boys walked into the trailer at around 6:30. "Come on Tiny, time to go." Fangs shouted into my room. I walked out towards them with my bike keys in hand. "Let's go." I walked out of the door towards my bike and we all made our way to the Bijou.

When we pulled up outside, the others were all waiting for us. "Hey." Jason said, hugging me. "Hey idiot. Hey guys." I greeted the rest of them with a smile. I made my way over to Cheryl while everyone else was distracted with their greetings and pulled her into my arms. "Hey cutie." I whispered into her ear, to which she blushed profusely and smiled. I smiled back at her. "Come on then let's go get our tickets." Archie said, making his way over to the door with the rest of us following.

When we all paid and got snacks, we made our way to the screen. Archie and Veronica sat furthest into the row, Jason sat beside them, Cheryl next to him, then me next to her. Kevin sat at the other side of me, then Betty, then Jug, then Sweetpea, Fangs and Joaquin. Midway into the film, I moved the arm rest in between me and Cheryl up and she cuddled into my side, we stayed like this for the rest of the film. Jason noticed and shot me a wink. I smiled at him and shook my head carefully so Cheryl wouldn't feel it, like I always do.

When we were making our way out, Jason spoke up. "Does everyone want to come back to our place and we can all get pizza before we go home?" It was now nearing 9pm and I had nothing else to do, so I agreed. As did the rest of the serpents, Betty and Kevin. "Sorry bro we have to get back, I need to speak to Mr Lodge." Archie said. We all got onto our bikes, while Cheryl, Betty, Jason and Kevin all got into Jason's car. The rest of us followed them all the way to Thornhill, where Jason opened the massive automatic gates and led us up the driveway.

We all walked into the house while Jason called the take out place. Penelope greeted everyone at the door as they walked in. She hugged Cheryl and looked over at me, then shot Cheryl a wink to which Cheryl blushed at, before making her way over to me to greet me. "Toni how are you dear?" She asked quietly. "I'm good thank you Penelope. How are you?" I smiled to her. "Amazing dear. Would any of you guys like a drink?" She enquired. We all nodded and she went off to the kitchen.

We sat in the living room and Jason rejoined us. "Your mom is cool" Sweetpea told the red headed twins. "S-she's the b-b-best." Cheryl got out to him with a smile on her face. Penelope returned shortly after with a tray full of drinks for everyone. "Here you go. I'll be in the other sitting room if any of you need anything." She said with a smile, she patted me on the back on her way out. I was confused as to why, however I just brushed it off.

When the pizza arrived, we all sat and laughed, we made jokes, told stories, got to know each other better and I was deep in thought. How did I get so lucky? I have the best friends in this entire world, and I'm so happy. The one thing that would make everything complete?
