It's been a quite a while ever since the incident, and Remus hasn't even tried to hide the fact that he has been ignoring Callisto. He would start walking faster whenever she would be around, he would avoid any type of eye contact with her, he would act as if he hadn't heard her whenever she spoke up... Even when they had classes together, he would always come late, and be the first to leave the classroom after the class finished.

And Callisto, knowing him as much as she did, kind of knew that he would act like that, so she never bothered him.

It started getting quite chilly outside, so Callisto has fashioned herself with a leather jacket, over her favorite Slytherin jumper, before heading out to the library, and then outside by the lake, to read a book.

On her way to the library, she came across none other than Sirius, with a bunch of chocolate muffins on a platter. "Hey there, Callie! Long time, no see." He smiled.

"We were talking literally yesterday, Sirius." she chuckled. "What brings you this way, anyways. You never read." She gave him a puzzled look.

"Oh just bringing these to Moony." He referred to the muffins. "He has quite the sweet tooth. Gets excited every time he sees sweets!" They both laughed. Sirius then, at that moment, had a brilliant idea flash through his mind. "Which made me think... That it would be way more productive, if you brought him the muffins."

"Productive in which way, Sirius?"

"Oh, you know what I am talking about, now grab these, and off you go." And with that, Sirius shoved the pile of chocolate heaven into her arms, before quickly disappearing into the maze of corridors, without any other words.

Here goes nothing, Callisto thought, before sneaking the food into the library, and searching for Remus. It hasn't been long until she found him, sitting on a couch by the mantelpiece, legs crossed, with a book in his lap. She quietly approached closer to him, and hid behind the bookshelf to his right side.

She quietly placed the platter on the table next to her, and grabbed a piece of parchment, and wrote down a little something to go with the dessert. She secured the little note between the muffins and quietly whispered a levitating spell, in order to send the treat to Remus.

At first he was startled by the floating object zooming into his direction, but then when he saw what it was, a small smile appeared on his face. Callisto watched carefully from behind the bookshelf, as he placed the book down, and grabbed a hold of the dessert. He noticed the note sitting on top of the plate, and started reading.

To Remus

Accept these delicious chocolate muffins, as an apology, for the incident that took place a short while ago. I really miss you, and hope we can be friends again.

At first, Remus froze at the unexpected positive attitude from Callisto. On the contrary of her thinking, he thought he wasn't good enough. He felt an extreme amount of guilt after what happened to her, and all because of him, so that is exactly why he decided she was better off without him in her life.

But the letter made him feel giddy in his stomach, and a smile rose up on his face, as he dropped his hand on his lap, still tightly gripping the little note. His smile got bigger, as he was staring at the fireplace.

Callisto watched all of that happen, and the amount of happiness she experienced at the sight of his smile was indescribable. She quietly ran off and outside the castle, with a random book in her hand, the wide grin never disappearing from her face as she made her way to the lake.

"I swear, Professor Slughorn is getting on my last nerves! That man has favorites and he praises them, and only them! He treats the rest of us as equally as garbage!" Emma was having a rant at dinner, while Callisto carefully listened to her and told her it was going to be alright. "How is it in there anyways?... You know... The Slug Club meetings?"

Callisto breathes out heavily. "Well... Not that great. It is really just kind of a competition on who's the better and wealthier member, I guess. It was nice while Lucius and I were friends. Now, given the circumstances, it gets quite boring at times."

"Well, if it isn't my favorite Slytherin!" Sirius beamed as he hugged Callisto from behind. "Can't believe I said that. Never in a million years would I guess that I would befriend a Slytherin!"

"And what's wrong with our house, if I may ask?" Emma sassed, and surprised Sirius.

"You are the girl that stopped me and old looking white haired prick from fighting am I right?" He grinned and gave out his hand to her. "Sirius Black."

"Emma Everleigh. Nice to meet you." She shook hands with him, and for some reason he was left staring at her for a tad bit. "What is it, Black? Never seen a Slytherin before?" she teased him, while Callisto stayed quiet and surprised by what she was witnessing just as much as Sirius.

"Oh I've seen plenty of those alright..." he mumbled, almost like in a trance.

"Sirius, do you mind... We have some important girl business to discuss." Callisto practically shooed him away, and then looked at Emma, wide eyed.

"Emma-" Callisto burst into laughter.

"What-" She looked at Callisto as if she's grown another head.

"I think he's in love with you!" Callisto continued laughing, and Emma frowned at the words.

"What the bloody hell are you talking about?"

"He is not used to girls being so confident and straight forward with him. Almost all the girls in our year fancy him, and act so girly and giddy around him."

"Oh enough about that savage. Let's talk about his friend..." Emma looked directly into Callisto's eyes, and gave her a smug smirk.

"Which one?" Callisto asked, clueless.

"Oh you know which one, the one you fancy. Re-"

Callisto quickly clasped her hand over Emma's mouth, forbidding her from finishing the sentence, and also muffling her laugh.

The Gryffindor table was just behind the Slytherin one, so Callisto turned to check if Remus saw anything.

And damn right he did. He gave her a smirk, followed by a wink, which made her freak out internally, before facing his friends again and continuing the conversation.
