Day One Report

The following day Casey woke up but didn't follow any of his usual routines. He dressed for the day then walked over to where Agony was staying. Casey walked in to find the lights still off, but there was a faint glow in the corner. The light turned to face him, and it somehow seemed happy.

"Good-morning Casey. If you can't tell, Agony is still asleep" Tenebris greeted. Casey let out an internal sigh, it was just Tenebris he wasn't going crazy. At least, not yet.

"Wow, didn't think she'd be able to sleep that long in such an uncomfortable place." Casey commented, "well when she wakes up you guys can roam free. The gym, the dining hall, the shooting range, I've given you two clearance for almost everything. I've got badges for the both of you. Casey held up two badges that said "GUESTS". Tenebris came over, scanned them and they were gone. Casey blinked surprised by how fast Tenebris worked.

"Thank you. I'll inform Agony when she wakes up." Tenebris said. Casey waved before leaving, making sure to quietly close the door behind himself. Everyone was buzzing last night about the visitor and Casey made an announcement that she was friendly and only staying for a few days. He can't stop people from being curious but he can at least answer some questions, but it's hard when you can't get answers out of the person everyone is asking about. Casey had told people to be polite and not to crowd her. However, he knew that some people would ignore him.

Casey decided to go through his day as usual. Reaver called him and updated him on the arrival date of the supplies for Agony's ship. Casey did his administrative tasks and anything else that he needed to do, but something in the back of his mind was bothering him. Something about Agony seemed so... familiar. Casey had never heard of The Reef, but her ghost, something about her ghost had poked at an old memory, but he couldn't dislodge it and bring it to the front of his mind. Around five Casey was unable to concentrate so he decided to go for a walk. While walking the perimeter of the base he was surprised but happy, to run into his favorite couple. Evo and Velox.

"Casey, what a pleasure to see you." Velox greeted with a smile. Casey noted her good mood and was skeptical as to what caused it. Only last night was she questioning his decision to let Agony stay on the base in a less than friendly manner. Casey knew that Agony would never hurt him, but a primal part of him knew to be afraid of her.

"Vel, you're in a good mood. Did you beat up Reach? Or did you get lucky last night? Maybe both?" Casey teased

"Case, stop asking about our sex life every time Vel's happy." Evo sighed, Casey couldn't help but smile.

"It's not that. I talked to the new girl and saw her in action. She's strong for someone so short." Vel commented. The height difference between Agony and everyone else on the base hadn't crossed Casey's mind until this comment. Agony appeared to be about, maybe five-five, maybe even shorter without her shoes. In comparison, most people on base were at least six feet tall.

"How did that go?" Casey asked curiously, he had spent all day with Agony but didn't really get a read on her personality.

"She's a little like Vel honestly." Evo pointed out, "she seemed bothered by Reach, strong, quick on her feet... has a bit of a temper" Casey felt a pit in his stomach

"What happened?" Casey asked but he felt he already knew the answer.

"Someone from team Echo kept bugging her. Well, more mocking her. Next thing we know there's a fight and she's pinning him to the floor and dislocating his shoulder." Evo explained

"Surprisingly she didn't get injured. We've actually been looking for her since lunch." Vel added, "I was surprised she was so strong, she's so thin and small. Like unhealthy thin," Velox emphasized.

Casey thought it over, her armor didn't make her look like a soldier, but it did scream that she was a fighter of some sort. Considering her ship was falling apart she's probably been flying for a while. There wasn't much for an actual meal but there was food in her ship. Probably just enough to keep her alive.

"Who else is looking for her?" Casey inquired as the sun finally set.

"Apex, Reach, Shockwave, and Riot. Well, we better get going. It's getting dark. I'm hoping to do one more lap before calling it a night." Evo said before him and Velox walked away. The three waved goodbye. Once out of earshot Casey let out a sigh.

The first day she meets people and a fight breaks out! Where could she have gone? If her being similar to Vel is any indicator she may be at the gym? No, they would have checked that already. Well I better join the search. Casey thought as she shook his head.
