A long day

Sky and Ian escorts Lilli and the boys to the back of the room where there was a door. It lead to a hallway filled with dozens of doors on each side. Sky and Ian continued to escort them down the hallway to a door that had the number nine on the left side of the wall.

Sky: Here we are. This is where you'll be staying for a while.

Sky placed her hand on a scanner to open up the door. Inside was a very small room with two beds, one parallel to the left wall and the other was parallel to the right. In the middle of the room was a window small enough to allow a hand through. Beneath it was a single drawer nightstand that held a lamp on top. On the wall right of the entrance to the room, was a five drawer wardrobe cabinet.

Sky: I know it's pretty small but it comes with everything you need. Any questions?

Lilli: No, we'll be fine. Thank you.

The kids walk into the room but before they could make it to the beds, they were stopped by Sky. The boys continue to walk to a bed but Lilli stays back to hear what Sky has to say.

Sky: Wait! I just want to say I'm sorry about my brother. He can be a real asshole sometimes, but he's not a bad person. I hope you don't hate us because of it.

Lilli: Look. I don't know about your brother, but I don't hate you.

Sky: That's good to hear. And I know you're an prisoner an all, but as long you're here. I hope we can be friends.

Lilli: Sure.

Sky: Awesome! Now before we go, are you sure you don't have any questions or anything I can help you with?

Lilli: Actually, I have two. For starters, does Ian talk?

Sky: Yes he does, he's just very shy around people he doesn't know. We found him on the streets two years ago and it took him half a year to start talking to us.

Lilli: Oh!

Sky: What other question did you have in mind?

Lilli's smile slowly dissipates as she lowers her head to look at the floor.

Lilli: This one is kinda stupid but, why didn't you guys throw us in jail or something? This all just feels to good to be true.

Sky: Technically this is your "jail". These rooms are where we put people who haven't necessarily done anything wrong, but we can't allow them to roam free. I mean, you did commit one of the worst crimes there is, but we noticed something important. Before Cece went out to retrieve you three, we watched your ship descend slowly, and on the sides it says escape. But earth cannot be located on the star maps unless you place the coordinates in manually. When all our attempts to contact you were ignored, that's when we decided that if someone bad was in that space ship, Cece would handle them. If they weren't, they'd be brought back here for questioning. Thing is Cece made a mistake when she brought you directly to Genny instead of bringing you here. That's why I'm here. With you. Right now.

Lilli: That's a lot more information than I had expected. Thanks.

Sky: You're welcome. Also, just so you know. As long as you're completely honest and show us that your intentions are pure and not world domination or whatever, you'll be fine. I got to start heading back now. I guess we'll talk to you later.

Sky waves good bye and closes the door as she walks away. Lilli then leans back against the door and exhales from exhaustion. She makes her way over to her bed and then flops herself on to it.

Jake: I think that Sky girl is kinda hot.

Lilli: I bet you were dying to say that.

Kay: I mean, she's alright.
