The next day. 6:23a.m.
Jake: Kay, are you awake?
Kay: Yea, I'm awake.
Jake: Is she awake?
Kay: She isn't, and I don't think she'll be getting up anytime soon either.
Jake: I barely slept. The thought of possibly not being able to go back home just didn't sit right with me. That is if we do have a home to go back to.
Kayleb removes Lilli's arm from around his waist and climbs out of bed to sit against the bed frame.
Kay: Hey don't think like that. It might take a while for things to go back to normal but everything will be fine. We just have to be patient.
Jake: You've always been so optimistic. I always ignored it because you were just a kid who knew nothing. But right now in this point in time, I actually hope you're right.
Kay: You and Lil always did looked down on me. In a way it was a good and bad thing, mostly bad. It helped me work harder in my training, but it also clouded my thinking. All I ever thought about was getting good enough so you two would respect me.
Jake: Kayleb we do respect you, and we also don't look down you. It's just you always try to look at things on the bright side, which isn't a bad thing by the way. But the world doesn't necessarily go the way we would want it to. Lilli and I just always saw things the way they were and not the way we wanted it. I'm sorry you felt that way, and I'm also sorry for not catching it sooner.
Kay: Well that changes things. I guess I'm sorry too for not telling you guys how I felt.
Jake: To be fair, we did pick on you a little.
Kay: I've gotten used to it over the years. At the end of the day you guys always did do something nice for me.
Jake: Are we good?
Kay: We're good.
The boys smile and raise their fist towards each other. Kayleb puts his hand down and notices the bracelet around his wrist.
Kay: Hey Jake, I know I didn't get to learn how to control my powers completely like you and Lil but, I think it's kinda crazy how I can't even make a simple flame.
Kayleb sticks his palm out and nothing happens.
Kay: See, nothing.
Jake: Now that you mention it, We don't even have "limiters" back at home. This place is weird.
As Jake finished speaking someone began to knock on the door. The door slid open and it revealed that it was Cece. She made her way inside and walked toward the boys.
Cece: Good morning Kayleb, good morning Jake, did you sleep well?
Kay: I slept fine, thanks.
Jake: I've slept better.
Kay: Can I ask you to keep it down please, Lil is still asleep.
Cece: Ok no problem. Can I sit with you?
Kay: Sure.
Cece gets down and sits next to Kaleb against the bed frame.
Cece: So, how are you guys feeling?
Kay: I feel like I'm not really here and everything that happened yesterday was all a dream.
Cece: Yesterday was definitely a weird day for all of us to say the least.
Jake: Not to be rude Cece but why are you here? It's like super early in the morning.
Cece: Truly I came to see if one of you were awake because breakfast is starting. But seeing that you both are awake, I guess I can speak my mind on something.
