She Li looked up when Jian Yi came through the hotel suite door.

"You saw him?" She Li paused his game and gave the blond his undivided attention.

"Yeah." Yi kicked off his boots at the door and walked to the long sofa which She Li was currently draped on. He flopped down, resting his head back on the soft cushion.

"How is he?" She Li moved to sit next to him, that shit was always sitting too close to him. He always felt like a mouse being eyed up by a hawk.

"He looks like he's been to visit his ancestors, but decided to come back instead." Jian Yi sat silently for a while, lost in thought. His mind played over every word he had said to He Tian, it was a fantastical thing. He still couldn't get his head around the fact that he had a cousin, he had never met any of his family so He Tian was something special to him. He was going to do everything in his power to be there when Tian needed him.

"Resilient bastard. He was always too strong for his own good." So He Tian hadn't made the best impression on She Li, during middle school they were always locking heads. Mainly over a certain redhead.

"Why do you hate He Tian so much?" Jian Yi felt brave enough to face his bully, even though She Li still scared him, a little.

"I don't fucking hate him, who the hell said I hated him? I saved his life, did you forget?" She Li looked pissed, and pinned him with a glare.

"But you were always being a gigantic dick." Wow way to go brain for blurting that one out!

"Wasn't everybody a dick in middle school? I was a dick, He Tian was a dick, you were a dick, Zhan Zheng Xi was a dick, Guan Shan was a dick. We were young, arrogant idiots. Just because I was like that then, doesn't mean you can tar me with the same brush! Who is being the bully now?" She Li cocked his head enquiringly.

Did he actually believe that? Had Jian Yi been a dick in middle school? Maybe he got She Li in trouble a few times....maybe He Tian was always beating She Li's ass for something or other. Wait that wasn't his point at all!

"But you never said sorry, ever!" Jian Yi's voice got loud.

"Oh for fucks sake. Sorry. Does that make you feel better?" She Li scrubbed a hand through his silver hair, tugging on the strands a little. The impatience was clear as day on his handsome face.

"No...yes...no. Is that it, just 'sorry'?" All the wind went out of Jian Yi's indignant rant.

"Yes. Don't you have anything you want to say to me?" She li's black eyebrow arched up.

"Yes, umm stop being a gangster, go back to school, get away from this shit before you end up like my cousin." When Jian Yi finished his tirade of advice, he felt better.

She Li just looked at him in contemplation for ages, before his gaze dropped to his feet.

"Sorry for judging you!" The last sentence came out in a rush.

"Okay, are you happy? Have we made up? Maybe it's time to make out?" She Li's grin was dirty. He leaned forward, crowding into Jian Yi's personal bubble in a big way.

"You're relentless!" Jian Yi shoved She Li's face away with his hand.

"Well you would find out how relentless I am if you tried me out." What a tease....

"No means no." Yi crossed his arms and shook his head firmly.

"Fine. Idiot, you don't know what you're missing out on..." She Li's voice turned sing song at the end, he crossed his long legs, making Jian Yi pause for the moment.
