4: The Right Words

I heard footsteps following me and as I glanced back I saw a beautiful brown and black wolf following me, but those blue eyes gave away exactly who it was.

The wolf beamed and tilted his head in a wolfish grin and gave me a challenging stance. I tilted my head in confusion, and he just dashed ahead of me.
So the pretty boy thinks he can outrun me? Well, challenge accepted.

I ran as fast as I can, and I was now neck and neck with him, he barked playfully, and I gave a mischievous grin and I cut into his path making him stop short, and I ran further ahead of him.

Eventually I stopped due to the lake in my way and as I was waiting for the slow poke to arrive I sat with my head resting on my paws and I closed my eyes enjoying the cool breeze that was caressing my face.

After a few minutes I felt a presence behind me but as I turned I saw no one, I sniffed the air, but the wind swept the scent away. I got up and carefully walked towards the forest, looking into its depths. I turned around and from the side I got pushed into the water as I got a hold of myself I noticed who my attacker was it was Liam and behind him both Ash and Jarred were following him from behind.

Furthermore, I gruffed in annoyance and shook my fur off. Only then did I notice my self, my usual black wolf now had specks of red and when I looked at the others Jarred's fur seemed to match Liam's wolf with the brown fur and Ash to my surprise looked more like me, although you could still see the two twins were related.

We played around in the water and as we did the sun seemed to set. I looked up at the sky and we walked back to the house at the edge of the forest we shifted back into our human forms (away from each other of course and Ash being the one with the brains give me some of her cloths).

We walked into our driveway, and we saw the living room light on.

"My dad must be waiting, why don't you guys come in for something to eat or drink?", I said a little unsure.

"Yea that sounds like a plan", said Ash and just on cue her stomachs grumbled making all of us laugh.

We walked into the house, and we saw a note on the kitchen counter from my dad, it said:

Dear Clare

I went to the pack house to get some things done. I got some people to clean the house up for us while you were away, so don't worry. Will be back a little later, to order pizza or something for you guys to eat while you wait my cards in my office.

Love Dad

P.s. I have some pack members watching the house but just in case lock the house okay?

I looked at the others and said, "Okay, well they are going to be awhile, so who's up for pizza and a couple of games that can help us get to know each other?"

Jarred and Ash nodded in agreement while Jarred seemed to daydreaming looking at nothing in particular.

I walked up to him waving my hand in front of his face and said playfully "Hey wakeup daydreamer is my company that bad?"

Started a bit but then saw me and smiled, "Sorry what?"

I picked his arm giving him a playful glare and said, "If you are not going to pay attention to me then why are you here?"

"Well, I am here not on my own free will?"

"Then by all means you may leave"

"I had rather not there will be free food, and you see a polite gentleman never pass up a free meal"

I rolled my eyes and grinned. And I walked towards the living room, not before turning around.

"Hey, Liam?"

"Yea"

"Thank you, as you know earlier on...."

"Don't worry about it, I am glad I could help and besides it gives me practice for when I become Alpha."

"What ever I just wanted to thank you"

And as I said that I walked into the living room funding both Ash and Jarred sprawled across my coach fast asleep.

I giggled, and I took two blankets from the cupboard and I put it over them.

Liam walked into the room and shook his head, chuckling, "These two are always sleeping after any form of exercise".

"I can tell. So what type of pizza due you prefer?" I said, taking out my phone and dialling the pizza places number.

"How about a Regina?"

"Okay, and maybe a pepperoni pizza as well?"

"Sounds like a plan", I said, turning away and repeating our order to the pizza guy.

As I put down my phone, I sat next to Liam at the kitchen counter.

Out of nowhere he said, "Don't you ever feel that on some days a specific person could read your mind, or at least you read theirs?"

"All the time actually there is never a time when that never crosses my mind I mean today earlier on when I saw you I wished I could read your mind because I didn't know how it could be that on the same day that we speak to each other is the same day that I find so many things out and so many other things happen."

"Well you see that's me on the constant, and right now I wish you could read my mind because to be honest I don't think the right world's will come out".
