" Happy Birthday sis, you finally found who you were looking for"

I looked at them confused and realisation hit me.

And I looked from Ash and to Andy.

" He is your...."

Ash smiled and pounced on Andy and squealed," MATE"

I stand there frozen, my brain was on a slow motion frenzy not being able to process what just  happened.

Jarred looked at me and laughed.

"Hey little miss alpha, your beta just found her mate, isn't that a cause for celebration? It took me a second and I pounced on both Ash and Andy, I squealed in sheer joy that finally I didn't have to lie to my best friend any longer.

Congratulations, I'm so happy for you, I told Ash through the mind link.

She looked at me and smiled the biggest smile I've ever seen, and she nodded.

Liam chuckled at us and glanced at Andy, "Okay girls, let's stop behaving like a bunch of animals and perhaps explain to him what exactly is going on?"

I rolled my eyes are his choice of words, but nodded in agreement, turning to face Andy.
I held out my hand to help him up, he looked absolutely confused as to what was going on, so we headed to the living room to finally tell him a story that I have kept a secret for so long.

We all sat on separate areas of the room to give him space, of course Ash was hesitant for being away from her mate even if it was just across the room but in the end complied.

I sat directly opposite him in hopes to make him feel more at ease for when I finally told him the story.

"Okay as you can see there are some things that I have yet to share with you so here goes nothing...", I dove into my past reliving every cursed detail of what happened all those years ago but of course I told him about the years that followed.

For most of the time he sat there with a look of interest and at times a look of confusion, but the one emotion that held onto his face the most was realisation.

Think of it as a puzzle piece that was missing for so long, and now you can finally get to see the whole picture.

After I finished, he leaned back and drew in a deep breath.

After a while of him being completely silent, I grew worried. Had I said too much? Was my best friend now afraid of me?

Liam sensed my distress and came to sit beside me, holding my hand, rubbing soothing circles while we awaited my best friend's final verdict.

Andy finally looked at me and a huge grin spread across his face and he started to chuckle.

I looked at him in confusion, and so did everyone else.

" You know this all makes sense now I mean I can understand now why you growl every time I tried to steal your food or when someone calls you a dog you seem not care and nod your head and carry on with your day but at the same time with this whole mate thing I don't know really what to think, and I'm not sure how to act, but I'm just glad there isn't anything hidden away any more..."

I couldn't help the grin that spread across my face, and I ran to Andy and engulfed him in a hug. He froze at first, but eventually returned the hug. At that moment, I forgot everything that had happened. My dad being in his sleep like state, the moon goddess and her warning, the notes and just let it roll off my shoulders.

I don't know how long it took for me to release him, but what I do know is, is that having Andy at my side definitely calms me.
My partner in crime has finally taken his place in this world, in this secret world.

As I pulled away, Liam drew me closer, holding me around my waist and tucking his head in the crook of my neck. I sighed, feeling the utmost peace flow through me. Smiling I suggest we go to the kitchen to have some congratulatory ice cream which of course everyone agreed.

What amazed me was how Andy fit this world of ours so perfectly, perhaps this was truly his place. Ash and him seemed to have taken on the role of mates perfectly, and I couldn't wait to share this world with him.

Andy spent the night last night so this morning we could all go to school together. Ash was rather reluctant to let him go, but we all knew that this was just going to be another long day and both her and Jarred had work to do.

When we arrived at school all eyes were on us, at first I was rather confused, but then I remembered the role that Liam had in this high school and that only made me stand straighter. Andy seemed more than happy with all this added attention and walked the halls towards our lockers with determination.

A lot of the students parted out of the way on our there.

Liam help my hand, squeezing it every once in a while just to remind me that he was there.

As I got to my locker, I glanced at my timetable and saw that I had Latin first period. I couldn't help but grin, I shared this period with Liam.

"You do realise the amount of work we need to catch up right?", Liam whispered in my ear, only making me shiver.

I rolled my eyes, closing my locker, and turned to face him.

"No.... Really?" I said sarcastically, laughing softly.

"Yes, and can you believe it? I mean who would have guessed missing a couple of days of school would make such a mockery of our work load" he shook his head chuckling.

" Well... You must be very lucky having someone like me as your mate, because without me you would probably fail"

"Aww...you wound me, but yet you speak only the truth. And to answer yes I'm very lucky to have a beautiful, talented, and smart mate at my side"

I couldn't help the grin that spread across my face. And just then the bell rang signalling the start of fort period.

Andy came towards us, grinning like a mad man.

"Come on love birds, I have paper planes to make of my notes" he said with a chuckle.
