"Just Friends"

Chapter 2

Now I'm very sure that everybody in the school hall were staring at us.
"What brings you here to Stanford High, Chloe?" asks Thomas as he directs me to the classroom.
"I felt lonely at my old school. I didn't have any friends. I guess I changed to this school because I thought I could make friends here." I answered.
"Well, I'll be your friend." he said.
"Thanks. A lot. You're actually the first person to ever say that to me." I reply gratefully.
"I don't see why." Thomas told me. I tried to find a note of sarcasm in his voice but I couldn't find any.
"Soooo, do you have a boyfriend?" he asked quickly.
"No, I don't. Like I told you, I was lonely. Every guy I liked never liked me back." I said sadly.
"Well Chloe, those guys were douchebags to turn down a girl like you." he replied seriously.
"Thank you." I mumbled. We walked a bit more until Thomas turned left and entered a room.
" Welcome to class 7B." Thomas said with fake enthusiasm. There were about 30 wooden desks and chairs all lined up perfectly in 6 rows. A globe and a few books were put neatly on the teacher's table at the front. A clean blackboard was on the wall.
"Woah." I said.
"Our class teacher Mrs Robins is kinda obsessed with keeping the class clean. She makes sure we keep the class clean or else 5 hours of detention." he told me. We were pretty much alone in the classroom other than a few other students sitting at their desks completing their work. "School starts at eight. As much as I want to stay here and chat with you, I've got to go to and check up on Andrew. My friend who fell. Catch up to you later." he said sounding way more dissapointed than he should've.
"Bye." I said as I watched him exit the classroom. I decided to go out the classroom too and find the locker that the school clerk gave me.

Sorry for the short chapter, I'm quite busy. I'll try not to write a chapter as short as this again ( no promises). Stay cool.
