I spent the day at home, doing what average teenagers would do. My mother gave me some more medicine before she went off to go to work, leaving me alone. I turned on my laptop and watched Doctor Who on Netlix while eating chips. My ideal of a perfect day. I actually almost forgot about Thomas that day. Almost.

Once the last episode ended, I decided to read Thomas' message. It read 'I'm really sorry for what happened in my room earlier. I shouldn't have tried to rush through things, especially since you haven't had a boyfriend yet. Can we please start over?'

I thought a while of what to reply with him. In the end, I texted back 'It's alright. I think I might have made a bit of a fuss over it. And sure. I would like to start over  ^_^'  A few minutes later, he replied 'Great. Hey, why didn't you come to school today?'

'My grandmother is sick and I had to take care of her. But it's alright, she's fine now'

'Thankfully. Will you be coming back to school tomorrow?'

'Yep'

'Well then, I guess I'll see you tomorrow. Bye, my mother needs me to help her do some chores'

'Bye'

I check the time and realized that my mother would be back any time now. I put away my laptop and laid down on my bed pulling the covers on me. I waited for a good five minutes when I heard a car pull over on the driveway. 'Chloe?' I heard my mother call me. 'Yeah mom?' I answered. 'Come downstairs! I brought dinner. We're eating Chinese takeouts tonight!' she said. I got out of my bed and went downstairs.

—-3 months later—-

During the course of a few months, things worked out between me and Thomas and we became really close friends. I also made a new friend who's also a loner. Her name is Samantha and she has curly brown hair and pale skin. While me and Sam were walking towards the cafeteria, we saw students crowding around the bulletin board. We made our way through the crowd to see what they were so interested in. Turns out that it was a poster that said;

  THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA AUDITIONS

The Stanford School Theatre is proud to announce that this year's play is going to be none other than the classic tale of romance, The Phantom of the Opera. The Phantom of the Opera play will be based of the 1976 musical. If you would like to audition, please register your name to Ms Ruby, the arts teacher or Mr Rob, the literature teacher. The auditions will be held on the 5th of November, Sunday at 8:30 am to 12:45 pm. The auditions will be held for the part of Christine Daae, the new owner of the Paris Opera House, Raoul, Christine's childhood friend, Carlotta, the lead diva, and the Phantom. Students who participate must have a singing voice. Other smaller parts will be given to students of the Stanford Theatre Club. To those who would like help out with the production of this play, please register you names to Mrs Dobra.

Thank You.

'Hey, why don't we join the play?' I asked Sam. 'I don't know about this. Besides, I'm not really interested in classicals.' she said. 'Come on! You could audition for the part of Carlotta, since you are quite the diva yourself.' I joked. 'Am not!' she rubbed her arm. 'What role would you like to audition for?' she asked me. 'Christine. And if you don't want to act on stage, why don't you help out with the production of the play? That way, we could spend more time together'. 'Sounds great. I'll look for Mrs Dobra while you go look for Ms Ruby. See you in a while'. 'See ya.' I went the opposite direction of the cafeteria to go look for her.

I went to the school theatre and sure enough, Ms Ruby was there. There were quite a number of other students registering their names too. 'Hello. I would like to register my name please. I'm Chloe Hills from class 7B. I would like to audition for the part of Christine Daae'.' I told her while she jotted down my name. I looked at the other names of the people who wanted to audition for the part of Christine and my stomach nearly did a flip when I saw Heather Graham's name on the list. For those of you who don't know who she is, she is Thomas's ex. We're not exactly enemies but I secretly despise her. Also, she's really into classicals things and has been acting in plays since the age of 7. There's no way I'm going to get this part now. 'Here's the script.' Ms Ruby said while handing it to me. I took the three pieces of paper and saw a few lines from the play. 'Here's the lines you have to memorise for the audition. If you're good enough, we will hand you the role of Christine Daae'.' 'Thank you.' I told her. I went outside and saw Sam already there, waiting for me. 'Come on, let's go and eat.' I tell her.

Hey, it's me again. I would like to explain why I haven't updated in 3 months. I've just moved schools and I have a lot more school work now and I have grown lazier and more tired so I didn't really feel like updating but then I feel bad to leave to guys on a little cliffhanger so here I am and thank you so much for reading my story <3
