XXXVII

i walked the streets of my small town

kicking a single pebble as i walked slowly

taking my time walking back to my apartment after a long day at work

i wrapped my hazel colored, long coat tightly around my body

the chilly breeze hitting my face leaving a pink tint to my cheeks

i breathed out slowly, watching the smoke of the cold air come out my mouth

i looked up at the sky in front of me

the sun is just setting

golden hour leaving and the dark night uprising

the sky bursting with colors of pinks, purples, oranges & yellows

i captured the image with my mind and grinned slightly at it

"how i wish you could see this, love."

i thought to myself

it's not long until i make it back to my apartment complex

i walk down the hall to my place

our place

i smiled to myself as i puts my key into the key holder, jiggling it a couple times before i opened the door

i walked inside but freeze in front of the door frame

i looked to the living room in front of me to see the shape of your body standing there

looking as beautiful as ever

staring back at me with those emerald green eyes

"how?! what?" i yelled as i ran to you

i ran as fast as the wind

and the minute i tried to touch you

you were gone

in thin air

gone

i breathed out slowly

"no, no, no, no, no, no!"

i continued to chant

getting louder and louder each no i said

"no! no! no! no! you're supposed to be hear! you said together forever, us against the world, but where are you now? huh!?"

i yelled with all my might

"where are you? why did you leave?" i whispered to myself. i pushed my bangs out of my face and took a deep breathe.

i looked at the picture beside me

i miss us

i miss us so fucking bad

all i know is
