After a few more months, with 'tender loving' care from the Sidhes, Mayu's four human companions finally obtained their third trait. As expected, the combination of their traits so far made Eiji Ura and Yumiko Suzuki to lean towards the warrior type; and Daisuke Adachi and Daiki Fuse to be the oracle type.
There were a few other humans who managed to awaken their third traits, but the majority ended up stagnant with just two.
Mayu and Zephar became restless.
Rennath finally offered, "You guys should go ahead and investigate the cavern. If you didn't find anything, you could always come back. If you found Ran Foster though... ."
Everyone was silent. Although Mayu had not explicitly said that Ran had found the exit, everyone was not dumb. If Ran had a way to return, she would have done so by now. Yet, she had not. If they found Ran Foster, they would not be able to return to [Sidhe's Dream].
Mayu knew, apart from the Bone Cavern, the rest of this second world's area was almost devoid of dangerous creatures. There were animals, but they were as normal as could be. The Sidhes' world also had animals like the ones on Earth, although they called them differently. There were bound to be some who prefer to stay in this relatively safe place. However, the same as the Forsaken World, Sidhe's Dream would ultimately crumble into nothingness.
The worlds they had to go through until the end were merely replicated projections of the various actual realms, to prepare everyone towards the [End of Days]. These projections were distorted form of time and space, shifting and changing constantly.
Yet, no matter how she tried to convince Rennath, she would not budge. A number of Sidhes still wanted to look after the mundane humans who were not willing to advance further.
"Such kindness is just a weakness," Mayu thought.
"I... I will stay with Rennath!" Daisuke put his hands up, surprising Mayu. Since when did the two get close? She was dumbfounded as she saw the teenager shyly walking towards the tall female elf and stood by her side. Daisuke had been a major introvert ever since they left the school; this was the first time he took an incentive to stay close to anyone else apart from their main group.
She would be lying if she said she had not grown a sense of camaraderie with these people from her school. Although she did not know them in her last life, they had gone through a lot in her particular one, protecting each others' backs.
In this life, they had earned her trust.
Mayu decided to share part of her experience with Daisuke and Rennath.
"If you want to stay, I won't stop you, but you'll definitely know when it's time to go. This current realm we are in, will show signs of deterioration."
In their [Forsaken World], it was the red sky and the falling pieces of it. In her last life, Mayu had not stayed until the collapse of [Sidhe's Dream]; although she knew the concept was the same, she could not tell what signs would mark the collapse of Sidhe's Dream.
Understanding Mayu's words as an oracle's wisdom, Rennath perked her ears up and listened attentively.
Mayu, "Daisuke should be pretty attuned to a space distortion. Even as an Indie, he's one of the more sensitive ones."
Daisuke pouted under his breath, "I'm not sensitive... ."
Mayu could not help but to smile a little, "That's a compliment. Anyway, as soon as you feel something is wrong, look for the exit." Her expression immediately turned grim, boring into Rennath's and Daisuke's eyes in turn, "Leave everyone. You cannot always help those who can't help themselves."
