The lost creature soon find its way and charges into the unsuspecting guard. Women in the audience scream as the man went flying over the chair, knocking quite a few down. And right after that, it is chaos.
The thick-headed – literally – herbivore knocks everything and everyone it lays eyes on, sending people and things flying everywhere. The sound of something dropping to the floor behind me catches my attention. I turn around and see Owen in the elevator and a hole on the ceiling indicates where he was hiding.
"Owen!" I jump on him and hugged his body as tightly as I could. I won't lie and say I thought he was left stranded in the volcanic island. "What are you doing here?" His clothes look like he's been using them for a long while in all kinds of dangerous activities.
"What are you doing here? I thought you were left on the island since I didn't see you again. I thought you were dead," He say once we pull away from our quick hug.
"It's a long story; you can know about it later," We both snap our heads to the people running for their lives and growling animals. Owen pushes past me in a flash to stop a man who is about to shoot the herbivore dinosaur. This ends with the man shooting the ceiling, which makes the rest of the audience who were still not aware of what is happening, go in a frenzy, as well as startling Archer.
As Owen fights the guards, I run to Archer's cage as he carefully analyzes and looks over the situation from inside his small prison. I attach myself to the cage, loop my arm around it a pole, and catch Archer's attention. On his fours, he crawls over to me and let his nose touch my arm as a certification I am there with him.
One of the running people knocks me onto the floor and Archer roar as my head hit the floor. Even with my slightly blurry vision, I see Archer's cage slide back to where it came, away from me.
No. Stop it.
A human mass goes past me, running over to the lever that makes the cage stop its movement. With my vision restored as well as my balance, I stand up and see Archer staring straight at Owen, the one who stopped him from going away any further. The predator stares at his prey with nothing more than the wish to have its blood fill its mouth, while the prey takes its luck to have the blood thirsty predator behind bars as he admires it.
"Bella, we need to get out of here," Owen comes rushing to me.
"You go, I deal with this. I know the way out. You have to get out of here before-" Archer's angry growl cuts me off. "Just go, I'll handle this," I push him away. After some hesitance, Owen nods and proceeds to go up some stairs the audience members that are fleeing go through. As soon as he leaves, I turn back to Archer. "I'm here," I climb the cage, looped my arm around a pole, and stretch my hand to touch him again.
Almost immediately, he nuzzles his snout on the palm of my hand and lets out small purrs of satisfaction. The auction hall was empty even two minutes later with only broken chairs and a few belongings scattered around.
Heavy footsteps come from where the cage emerged from. I quickly jump from the side and hid behind the platform, opposite the side of the noise.
"Holy cow! What are you?" The man who I remember as Ken Wheatley says in surprise. Archer lets out small curious and warning growls at the man who approaches the cage. I scoot to the side to get a look at the stupid man who doesn't know when to keep his hands to himself. "Didn't see you on the island."
Archer growls louder and tries to break the cage bars to reach Wheatley. He starts hitting the sides of the cage and calling for something; I'm not sure. Wheatley takes out his tranquilizer gun, making Archer more anxious where he now tries to claw the air in front of him to get the man.
Wheatley shoots at him, and if it were a real gun, I would've killed him with my own hands. Raising Archer up to now made me well aware of his metabolic system and knew he required more than one of those tranquilizers to put him to sleep. But, being the incredibly smart animal he is, he pretends to get weak before falling on the metal floor with his head facing my direction.
Wheatley walks over to the cage, making me hide behind it, not to be spotted. And the man couldn't be more stupid when I hear the cage door creak open.
Seriously? He's going to die! Does he have a death wish or is he too greedy to make any smart decision?
"Look at you," Very cautiously, I rise my head to peek at the stupid man as he stands next to a very convincingly sleeping Archer. "Really pretty teeth," My jaw clenches, and I no longer care about the man's welfare.
You will be dealt with, but not by my hands.
"This is gonna make a perfect centerpiece for my necklace."
A smirk forms on my lips as I watch my boy's tail rise behind the man's back, then lowering it before it is seen. His bright yellow eye open as the man looked at his still tail. His eye meet mine before he closes it again.
He rises his tail once more, this time not putting it down. His eyes open again, and before the man can even blink, he has his arm in Archer's mouth. I stand up from my hiding spot and see Archer lift Wheatley by his arm before ripping it off and eating it whole.
"Help! Help me!" He screams in pain. All I do is stand and watch the blood spilling unfold. His head snaps back to the monster in front of him, who now craves for human flesh more than anything. Wheatley scoots over to the cage bars, now making pitiful crying sounds.
Archer moves his head close to him, growling here and there, smelling the sobbing man. He then roars, making Wheatley sob harder, right before he rips his head off. I turn around and cover my mouth, trying my best not to puke.
I could've lived without seeing that.
As I straighten myself up again, I see movement from the corner of my eyes. Turning around, I see Gunnar running to the elevator as Archer eat the rest of the stupid man.
You're not getting away, asshole.
"You! Come back here!" I shout, catching his and Archer's attention. His eyes go wide and he runs faster to the elevator. "You tried to sell what is mine!" I run after him and knock him to the floor. He pushes me off and runs to the side where a couple stand before pushing off the woman to the center of the elevator.
Her eyes fall on the bloodied Archer and she lets out a shrill scream. Before I can lift myself from the floor, Gunnar presses the password on the keypad. The doors of the elevator. Before they close all the way, I see Archer push the cage door open and step out of it.
Uh oh.
"Say bye-bye to your wretched dinosaur," Gunnar smirks as the door closes. But it is my turn to smirk as Archer ran, desperately to the elevator, either for me or more bloody flesh, I don't know, but my smirk fell when the door closes. "That was close," He puffs out the air he's been holding as he looks at the frightened people inside the elevator with us.
However, their relief is short-lived as the doors open once more. Archer stands in front with all his might. His bright yellow eyes lock on Gunnar, followed by his head and body, who turning in his direction. His lips curls back in a furious and blood thirsty snarl. I step out of the way and let him roar before pouncing inside the confined space. He's just been served a whole meal after the appetiser.
