The Indoraptor and A Girl ✔️

"You have what you wanted," I speak out as soon as my eyes land on Eli's back. He turns around as if there is a sudden explosion behind him. "Now, I would appreciate it if Levi is treated nicely while I take care of myself. You are to do nothing to him but feed him. In return, he will be just like a puppy, and no harm will come to anyone."

"You lost me men, Isabella. What am I supposed to tell their family?" He crosses his arm over his chest as he watches me walk close to him.

"Since do you care?" I scoff. "Do as I say if you don't want to lose more men," I walk back to Levi to make sure he doesn't create any problems or gets himself hurt. He is exactly how I left him, laying down with his calculating eyes, looking at everyone and every corner of the massive hanger-like hall.

"Umm, Ms," One of the trembling men steps over to me with a frightened face. "Is there any way we can lock him or at least chain him?" I know he means no harm to Levi and is only doing his job, so I give him an apologetic smile.

"It's best if you leave him free. I'm sure he won't do anything if you don't do anything to him," I say, walking over to Levi, whose eyes snap in my direction. "I recommend you don't show any ill intent or hostility. He is an incredibly intelligent animal and is hardly fooled. You only need to feed him a hundred kilograms of meat later today, so you can leave the food a couple of meters away from him, and he will get it himself."

Levi stretches his head toward me, sniffing my body before pulling back and gurgling in satisfaction. 

What a weird dinosaur. 

I shake my head and giggle at his silly habits.

"I'll only be gone for a couple of hours. If anything happens, make sure to call me, and I'll get here as fast as I can," I tell the men who nod and ran away, scared. "It's just and my boy," I playfully wink at Levi. The air around me along with my chest vibrates with his loud purrs.

I step closer to him, right under and next to his head where his arm was. Standing on my tiptoes, I stretch my arm and touch under his massive jaw. His eyes close like those of a kitty getting a good scratch as his purrs grew louder and louder.

I move under his head, my fingers grazing from his jaw bone to the fleshy part where his tongue resides, then moving up to his chin, and back down, all the way to his rumbling throat. I lay my head on his neck and close my eyes, using the vibrations as a lullaby to draw sleep to me.

"You're safe now, my boy. I'll keep you safe. I'll take you out of here along with my new friend," I whisper softly. Levi moves his head down against my back, giving me a head hug with his massive one. "I hope you guys like each other. You'll have to," I hug him the best as my small arms allow me.

Two hours later, I am in my bedroom, stuffing clothes into a bag if I need to change to practical or fancy ones for the event later today. Eli, along with some other man called Gunnar Eversol who is supposed to attend the auction of the captured dinosaurs.

I'm filled with the guilt of not being able to do anything to those poor dinosaurs. They will be sold like rare objects and not treated with the dignity they deserve. But all that matters, to me, is to make sure Levi and Archer are taken out of here to a safer place, preferably my farm.

And I'll make sure of that, no matter how much blood there needs to be shed. I'm a momma bear protecting my cubs.
