After talking a bit with Eli, he invited me to the Lockwood manor to meet Benjamin Lockwood himself and then the lab. He then asked me for my address, which I gave him, and not even an hour minutes later, a black, expensive car parked in front of my house. Our pickup truck has a competitor.

The driver said he came to pick me up so he could take me to the Lockwood manor. I texted my brother, saying I got a new job and that I would check the place out. Even though I'll be twenty in a month, my brother still wants to know where I go, and I'm not bothered by it. I appreciate his protectiveness, except when he behaves like a stalker.

An hour later, I caught sight of the main gate, which sent chills down my spine, and when I caught eyes of the house, I was shocked. It was a beautiful mansion with a very noticeable European style to it. Very out of place, in a good way.

Once the car stopped, the driver stepped outside to open the door to me. I thank him and hesitantly made my way up the stone stairs. The massive door opened to reveal an elderly woman who still managed to keep some of her beauty from her early years. There's was still kindness in her eyes that were yet to be consumed by her tiredness of young people.

I wish I could still be pretty when old.

"Good evening, I'm here to meet Eli Mills," I spoke softly. "I'm Isabella Evans if you must know."

"Welcome, Ms. Evans. Mr. Mills is right this way," She stepped aside so I could enter. "You can call me Iris," I nod as she closes the door behind us. I follow her inside and can't help but to let my eyes roam the beautiful wooden interior. I haven't had the privilege of seeing Californian mansions in person, only in videos and pictures. But this mansion surely takes away my interest. So beautiful and unique for this place.

"Mr. Lockwood," Iris stopped walking when an old man in a wheelchair appeared, followed by a small, young girl.

"Maisie dear, why don't you go to your room for now," The old man spoke softly. The small girl nodded before dashing past me up a spiral metal staircase. "Hello, my dear, I'm Benjamin Lockwood, pleased to meet you," Mr. Lockwood said as he extended his hand for me to shake.

"The pleasure is all mine. I'm Isabella Evans," I stepped closer and shook his hand gently, afraid to break it. "Sorry this may be uncomfortable or out of place, but I would like to thank you for bringing dinosaurs back to life. It was always my dream to see one in real life, and almost a year ago, I got to take care of one."

"I'm very glad to hear that. I have heard a bit about you, I think. They said a woman was hired to raise and take care of the Indominus Rex. I was even shown some footage of inside the paddock of her petting that massive creature," He said, rather impressed. The memories his words brought me warmed my heart.

"That was me. I took care of the Indominus Rex all his life, creating a very strong bond between the both of us," I spoke proudly. Our bond was more than just a handler and an animal. He was and is my family.

"I'm sorry to know he died after his escape, but you can help with the other dinosaurs as well," I look at him, confused. "Eli will explain things further to you. You see, I have to take my medicines," He bid goodby, and Iris went behind him, then pushed him away.

"Ms. Evans," The same voice from the phone called for me. I turned around and saw a young man walking over to me.

"You must be Mr. Mills," I spoke professionally, extending my hand.

"Please, call me Eli," He extended his hand to shake mine, then we let them fall back to our sides.

"Then I must insist you call me Bella," He nodded with a kind smile.

"Will do. Now follow me; you must have tons of questions in need of answers," He waved his hand for me to follow.

We enter a large, high-ceiling hall with multiple fossilized dinosaurs put up in different stances, and in the middle, a massive head of a triceratops.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" Eli gestured to the dead dinosaurs. "Come closer," I noticed he stood next to a model of an island. "This is Hammond's and Lockwood's plan," He gestured to the model.

"An island?"

"Yes, a new sanctuary for the dinosaurs on Isla Nublar. We've been studying Isla Nublar, and there has been an increase in seismic activity. We think the volcano on the island is due to erupt sometime in the future, so Lockwood thought to begin his plan as soon as possible," He briefs me.

"So you want to take the dinosaurs from Isla Nublar and relocate them here? All of them?" I question.

"Yes, all of which we can. But not at the moment. All navigation both on water and on air has been prohibited to and near the island. We need to wait for the perfect opportunity for it to open, and we get those magnificent creatures," He spoke with a voice full of dreams, but I could see past it.

Although I love dinosaurs with all my heart, the only dinosaur in it is Levi. So if he is in danger, I won't tolerate it.

"There's more to it, am I right? You don't seem like a man that will just save the dinosaurs without getting anything back. You're a man that one can only trust to do certain things, and I know this," I point to the island. "Isn't one of those."

His innocent face turns into his true self, more to a man of business rather than a hero that will save the world.

"Dr. Wu did say you were one of the smart ones. And you're right. Lockwood needed someone young to spend his fortune and wise enough to know where to spend it. So, I came up with a better use for the dinosaurs on the island. Follow me," He walked up to a wooden wall that had a panel the required code.

The wooden wall opened to reveal a big elevator inside. I followed him and stepped in, and a couple of seconds later, the doors opened to reveal a laboratory underground.

We walked over the metal walkway inside the actual laboratory where multiple panels with genetic codes, chemical formulas, notes, images of a dinosaur species I've never seen before, and more.

"Is it true you are going to catch all the dinosaurs you can?" I whisper to him after he showed me around the place. He takes a step in front of me and nods his head in confirmation. "Can I trust you with something?" There is no other way. This is the only one. This is my best shot at rescuing Levi.

"I would say yes, but you did say I can only be trusted for a couple of things," I roll my eyes as he chuckles humorlessly.

"If you keep this promise to me, I'll make sure you won't regret it," I spoke seriously. He thinks for a second.

"What do you need?" He asked.

"Your help."
