"..Matt?".

He looked up toward the figure standing in front of him. The ginger-haired man was almost just like his usual self; minus the fact that his face held a sunkenly dark emotion all over.

It all happened so sudden. Tord was in his bunker, the deepest in the barracks, minding his own business. Pat came rushing in saying that someone had found out about their base and was already inside. It didn't even take long before the power went out and footsteps arrive behind him. And come the lights back on, Matt was there,Pat on the floor.

Matt didn't look good emotionally. The cheery-faced guy Tord used to know was replaced by some weird, hollow shell of the man before. "Come with me",was all he spoke. Nothing seemed to add up much here. He tried to motion his ex-best friend to speak by pointing his gun towards him,but nothing came. Matt was neither frightened nor angry, just emotionless.

Tord was stumped. What on earth is he doing here? How did he find out? Are the rest of his friends plotting something here?

He kept his defensive stance ready. Whatever it was, whoever it was,he was never going to let them get away with it. It took him months to set this whole place up with his newly reinforced army and did his very best in hiding it from the world. And no one was ever going to blow this for him, even his own friend.

Silently,he pulled the trigger as he continued forward. Matt didn't move, not even a flinch. "What..what are you..",before he could even finish,Matt was already grabbing his hand, rushing him out of the catacomb-like hallways. At some part of the run,he managed to fling Tord's gun away, leaving him nothing but an amputated slightly crazed man.

"Where are you taking me?",Tord demanded. He tried his best to free himself, but somehow his old friend seemed to have gotten quite the iron grip over the couple of months. His body could only do nothing but follow to where it was taken to.

All the while,Matt was silent as a dead corpse. Feels like one too,Tord thought as he realized how cold his wrists felt. He was quite certain that they were low enough from the surface to face the heavy snow that came frequently these past few years. The heaters were generated by his power core,a creation he donned for some time. Surely it didn't collapse, did it?

He tried to plot his feet onto solid ground, but Matt was moving so fast he almost tripped. Through each and every hallway they passed, countless amounts of Red Army soldiers, if not dead, lay unconsciously on the floors. Tord squirmed his robotic arm free before falling flat.

"What on earth,Matt?! What's going on here?", he exclaimed, trying his best to face the man. Matt turned, cupping his hands over his mouth which muffled his speech.

"Edd...old facility..monsters...", he spurted out blood before he could even continue. Tord froze. Edd? What about Edd was so important that Matt risked his life to get all the way here? Especially in his condition now?

A thousand thoughts blasted through Tord's mind. The sheer shock of hearing such news after so long, his feelings were mixed. He turned towards the ginger again. He was on his knees now, buckets of blood pouring between his fingers. He kept his head hung low and was still emotionless. "Matt, slim it. You're not okay,we gotta..", Matt pulled him close towards him before everything turned black.
