He tried to open his eyes slowly.
The light was blinding, as if he were in some foreign universe. He tried to move but no luck. He opened his mouth, but no words came to him. He felt strained to the very core.
"I didn't want to do this", he heard a voice said. He tossed and turned, searching for the voice. Then he saw a figure above him before feeling a sharp prick and falling back into unconsciousness.
The last thing he could make out was how cold his surroundings were.
