"Hey, Edd!", Matt said. He was just about to head over to his place when he saw the other in Tom's living room, the door ajar. Edd lifted his head up from his cat and smiled.

"Heya, Matt! You going somewhere?".

Matt proceeded to plot his butt onto Tom's sofa. I'm sure he wouldn't mind, he thought. As he stretched, he answered, " Yeah, thought I'd go to your place, but since you're here, let's just crash Tom's house instead!".

Edd snickered. "Tsk, bet you can't crash his house the way I do it". And this made him receive a smack in the back by Matt. He looked around for a few seconds, searching for the blue hoodie. "Where's Tom, by the way?". Edd shrugged.

"Who knows? He came to my place a while ago, went straight to the toilet, you see. I told him I was coming here and I took the keys he left on my coffee table". Matt nodded his head in understanding before his friend stood up and headed for the fridge.

"Let's see what drinks he has other than Smirnoff", he smirked.

Matt was trying to sip the whisky from his mug, hoping that it wouldn't taste much like shit when Tom came bursting in. He was panting heavily and was covered with a mixture of fear, confusion and, probably a tinge of anger.

"Matt,Matt!", he rushed towards him, gripping his shoulders with an iron grip, shaking him back and forth. "Edd, we..we gotta..". Then Edd came in, his face perplexed.

"Tom? What in the world's gotten over you?", he said. Tom turned toward the guy, cat in hand, and froze.

"E-Edd..?".

"Yeah it's Edd, can't differentiate between me and ginger-hair over there?", Edd said, confused. Then he came closer towards Tom, letting go of Ringo. "You okay, man?".

Tom didn't blink. He pulled Edd's hand, gripped it hard. Then he held it tighter until Edd squealed. "Ow, ow, ow! What the heck, man?!", Edd yelled, freeing his hand and slapping Tom in the face. Matt looked over at the other, realizing his hand was slightly bluish in colour. Tom gripped it so hard his hand was literally bruising.

Tom was perplexed. If the one in front of him was Edd, then who the hell..?

Matt stood up from his chair and came towards the blue-hoodied lad. "H-hey, Tom. You.. feelin' alright there, bud?". Edd rubbed his bruising wrist before heading back to his apartment to search for the first-aid kit. To be fair, amidst all the weird and wacky stuff they went through, this was the first time they'd ever seen Tom act so out of character. Usually he'd be cool, somewhat of an asshole and such, but the fear tinged in his voice when he was about to usher Matt away with him was a bit frightening for Edd. He had to leave the scene for a while.
