A Rematch [Chapter 25]

This took....much long than expected. Anyways, I had a whole thing written about how I procrastinated due to anime and video games but you guys don't need to hear all about that now, do you? Well you guys came cause there was an update and here it is. Enjoy 😊

     Ainz laughed as he waved Y/N to come closer "Actually, Im about to head to the arena.....why don't we have a rematch." A grin appeared on Y/N's face as he nodded in agreement "Now thats an interesting idea."

About an hour later, Ainz and Y/N were standing in the arena, getting geared up, while Shalltear, Clementine and Byakko were in the seats along with the rest of the floor guardians, excited and waiting in anticipation to see the rematch of two very powerful Supreme Being.

     Ainz and Y/N stood at opposite ends of the arena. Albedo fluttered her wings franticly "Oh I get to see my beloved supreme being fight and win once more~" A slight scoff could be heard from Shalltear and Clementine, obviously doubting her claim "Oh really? Well I for one think other wise." Shalltear replied, giving a sly smirk while Clementine did the stuck her tongue out. "Silence the three of you! I do not believe the supreme being would like seeing you three wager on who would win....because the clear victory would obviously be Lord Ainz!" Demiurge boasted proudly but was immediately cut off by Cocytus "Rejection, Lord Y/N is fully capable in winning this fight. His skills with his weapons and his versatile abilities in combat would be more than enough to defeat Lord Ainz!"

     This sparked the floor guardians into arguing and started betting once more. Once Y/N and Ainz were almost about done with their preparations before the fight. You looked at Ainz and gave a polite chuckle "You know, you could always just take the lost and you wouldn't have to go through all this embarrassment." The boldness radiated off of your statement but that didn't deter Ainz one bit. "If I were to back down now, wouldn't I look like a fool then?" "Wouldn't be the first time." "Now if memory serves me right, Im pretty sure that you have messed up much more often than I have" "Well memory didn't serve you right since Im pretty sure thats false you old man." Ainz laughed at that comment. "Now are you ready to fight or what?"

Ainz started to chuckle in return which soon turned into a sinister laughter as he nodded at him "Im always ready Y/N! Now come face me!" As soon as Y/N heard that, he felt his blood boiling in excitement, ready for this fight.

(A/N: it would be cruel to just stop here...hehe)

As soon as both the fighters were ready, the arena pvp system started the countdown. The loud voice echoed through the stadium "3....2....1.....FIGHT!"

You were the first to make your move "Shadow stake!" You casted a shadow spike trap right inside Ainz's shadow but he quickly looked down and countered it with a magic dismantling spell. That split second gave Y/N enough time to have dashed at him with your scythe and swing upwards at his boney chin, aiming to take his head off. Ainz reacted barely, as he nearly dodged it then teleported backwards, following up with a spell ice spell. It started creating ice like vines which latched upon one of Y/N's leg. His focused turned to the ice and trued to break it but before he could, Ainz had already gotten one more attack spell ready, this time a fire related spell.

     As soon as you got free from the ice, you turned back to see a giant fire ball headed your way. This would have been impossible to dodge...if there weren't any shadows nearby. You slipped right into the shadows and crawled behind Ainz's shadow as you then started your wave of attacks. This caught Ainz off guard as he stumbled back, trying to dodge and block your attacks. You swung your scythe, gaining more and more speed as you practically were now a fidget spinner of death (have fun imagining that).

     As the fighting continued, you casted a physical shadow object right behind Ainz's foot which tripped him up. This gave you the chance to swing with all the force gathered up, right at Ainz's side. The hit sent him flying across the arena and into one of the walls. Dust flew everywhere and covered where Ainz was launched to. An audible groan was heard as Ainz got up slowly. A visible barrier which was surrounding him seemed to be, cracked.

"Ha! Give it up Ainz, one more strike and you'll lose your shielding and take damage!" Ainz stared back at you, giving a very anonymous chuckle "Do you really think you would win this easily?.....Ha no, no, no. You'll be the one to lose." Ainz casted a spell but it was inaudible due to the distance. This got Y/N ready as you casted a speed spell, then dashed towards him, sliding to his sides and getting behind him to cause a finishing blow. His hit landed, causing Ainz to get launched once again and destroying his shield. However, a small fire dot from the sky caught your attention. Y/N looked up and saw a giant meteor flying down towards him. The only thoughts that ran through your head when you saw that was "Oh shit....." as you casted any shielding spell you could think. As the meteor hit the ground, a large explosion occurred, forcing any spectators to duck and take cover otherwise they would be dead. But as the smoke cleared up, the arena message appeared

"GAME ENDED. Y/N wins."

A/N: Oh? Y/N won? Thats strange....I wonder how? Not like a big F***ing meteor with nowhere to hide didn't kill you. Hmm....
