His Downfall

10:30 am. Busy na busy si Millia stalking Ky's instagram account.

My goodness. Wala man lang bang makikitang medyo sexy na picture si Ky dito?

Nang maya-maya pa'y nagulantang ito sa pagkatok ng sekretarya nya.

"What the hell is going on? You scared me!"

"Pasensya na po kayo, Ms. Rage. May maganda po akong ibabalita sa inyo."

And the secretary hand her a file.
Nagbago ang itsura ni Millia ng makita nya ang nasa loob nun.

"Mukhang effective po ang strategy ng company, Ms. Rage. And we're on the top spot."

She shook her head.

"No. I don't think this is a good news."

She gave her the file at nagtaka ang secretary nito.

"Po? Pero tignan nyo. Bumaba ng sobra ang Knead Bread. Di po ba magandang balita ito para kumpanya at sa board?"

Millia looked at her intently. Natakot ang babae.

"You don't know anything. This isn't a good news for me. If for others, maganda 'to, for me it is not."

Sandaling natahimik ang buong paligid ni Millia. Till she heard her voice-

"You may now go. Go."

Umalis ang babae. And Millia couldn't help it but to feel bad for Ky.

Patawarin mo ko, Ky. I didn't mean to do this to you.

Sa Knead Bread. Ky's room. Mag-isa lang si Ky and he's thinking how to deal with what's going on sa kumpanya. Ng maya-may pa, he rise from his seat at pumunta ng conference room.

Damn! I don't have a choice but to face them. Face the board.

Nang maya't maya pa ay pumasok na lahat ng members of the board sa loob ng conference room. He tried to catch his deepest breath and smiles. Kahit alam nyang gigisahin na sya ng committee.

"So Mr. Kiske, what's our action plan? We did received an email from you about the solution for this."

"Yeah. Hindi na ako magpapaligoy pa. We are on our downfall. The company has been..not on its greatness. Wala na tayong other choice but to.."

"But to what?"

Sabat ng isang member ng board. Napalunok si Ky.

I know this might not be good. Pero...

"Mr. Kiske? We're waiting for the answer."

"Yeah.. I understand na... Mas naunahan tayo ng Bread Box on the top spot. Di ko alam if.. anong nangyari. But enough of it, we know na we did our best. So what I think of is.. to sell my shares. Or to sell this company."

Nagulantang ang lahat. Napatayo ang isang member.

"What!? All of a sudden? Are you a joke Mr. Kiske?! We put our efforts for this tapos in just a snap of a finger, ibebenta mo lahat ng parang wala lang?!"

"Ms. Sullivan, I know it is frustrating.  But...this is what I can think about. We are bankrupt. Our sales and revenues are too bad. We are on our downfall."

Sandaling natahimik ang lahat.

"If this is hard for all of you, paano pa sakin? Since this is my company. Ayoko mangyari 'to, but this can save all of us.
I'll make sure, we'll rise up."

The silence filled the room. Then his friend tapped his shoulder. He smiled.

"I call this meeting, ajourn."
