"Seriously Xy, I saw something like this on television before." Xavier offered as if I were actually paying him any mind at this point. The conversation had died the moment he mentioned the name of the show. Seriously, What twelve year old even watches Dateline? I rolled my eyes as he continued his rambling.

"You've gotta be kidding me..." I mumbled as Quincy turned his car into Charlie Gitto's parking lot.

I hesitated for a moment because there was no way we were eating here. It was mad expensive for one. And wildly popular. I couldn't even see any parking spaces available from the street. It was well past midnight but the place managed to keep a full crowd until 3a.m or so.

"Whoaaa." Xavier dragged out as my car finally turned into the parking lot and the sign out front became clear in our windshield.

I arched a knowing brow at him. Wondering if I should say something slick but thought better of it. If there was one thing in life my brother loved more than me, it was steak. he was literally that petty.

I watched on as Quincy's car idled for a moment. And wondered if we had both gotten out hopes up a tad too soon. I fought the urge to blow the horn and ask if everything was in fact okay. Instead opting to place my car in park and wait him out.

I watched him place his phone to his ear briefly and a few minutes later a man dressed in a black vest, white long sleeve button up and black slacks could be seen in my rearview making his way to Quincy's car.

I watched on eagerly as the two exchanged a brief set of words before the man headed toward the back of the parking lot and unlocked a restricted area of it.

"Impressive." I whispered to myself as Quincy's eyes met mine from his rearview mirror. I dry swallowed and he looked away. Taking my car out of park and slowly following behind him. He parked his car and the gentleman from the restaurant gestured for me to pull up beside him.

I turned the engine off and pulled my keys out before turning my body towards Xavier with a stern look on my face. "Now when we get in here ..." I started only to have Xavier cut me off.

"I know how to act in public Xy damn!" He said waving me off and reaching for the door handle. I watched on in slight shock for a moment as he exited the vehicle. Lightly slamming my door behind him.

"Then act like it X!" I yelled through the door. "Cursing at me ..." I mumbled now finding it hard to unbuckle my seatbelt due to frustration. The sound of my door being opened quickly gained all of my attention and I struggled to fix my face which was turned up thinking it was Xavier who had opened it.

"Need some help there?" He offered and before I could politely decline he reached over me and swiftly unsnapped my belt buckle. The aroma of Peru Balsam dancing across my nose in the process. He held his hand up for me to take and I just stared at it for a moment. Before eventually allowing my eyes to roam over into his face. His eyebrows rose softly as a half smile spread across the left side of his face. Causing me to smile as well before placing my hand in his.

"Thank you." I said turning to him after he helped me out of the car and closed the door.

"Don't mention it." He said taking his place beside me and placing his right hand on the small of my back guiding us toward the back entrance where Xavier stood in full blown conversation with the man who had come out earlier.

"Okay there friendly Bob." I joked playfully mushing Xavier in the back of the head as the door was opened causing him to stumble in before turning to slap my hand away.

"And I'm the one who doesn't know how to act." He said placing quotes in the air with his fingers. I went to mush him again but the sound of mindless chatter, clinking dishes and soft jazz stopped me dead in my tracks as soon as I fully entered the building.
