Meha didn’t actually know how she was supposed to feel about today. She was happy, very happy actually. Her final assignment submission was in a couple of days and she had almost gotten ninety percent of her work done. Mr. Latiff had been a huge support and had been helping her throughout. Along the times that they had bonded he had also slipped a compliment or two in between. It had been a moment of pride and she had tried not to show it on her face. She had nonchalantly nodded and had explained further about her research. Aarav had been there too. He had taken a keen interest on the works of his father’s company which he was going to inherit one day. He had tried learning the tricks about business and had positively improved the bond with his father. When Mr Latiff had casually complimented her, Aarav had looked at Meha and had winked with a thumps up.

They had bonded on a deeper level. He had invited her on one of his matches but she had been so busy with the assignment she hadn’t gotten the time to attend his match. Meha had regretted not going because Aarav had animatedly explained the entire match and with so much passion that she wanted to be there.

“Who’s Rudra?” She had asked after hearing his name constantly in Aarav’s talks.

Aarav had been packing his priceless studs when he she had asked him. “Rudra is my best friend...more like a brother.” And then he had gone on to talk about Rudra. Meha had been fascinated by this friend of his. He was a weird character. He was apparently shy, didn’t have his way with girls, had a big joint family and was a typical north Indian in his mannerism. The confusion that Meha had was how come a boisterous, loud mouthed guy like Aarav be friends with a timid and shy Rudra. Involuntarily Meha had expressed her want to meet Rudra and then she had gotten another invite for an upcoming match. This time Aarav had made Meha promise that she would come to which she had obliged.

In her days in Sehr Enterprise, Meha had also met Piyali a few times. She would drop by to give her mother lunch or just to talk to her mother. She was a sweet girl although she and Aarav hadn’t started off well; they had eventually started to have a liking for each other. Most of the times Aarav would be all sexy on her and she would ward him off or laugh at him. They had had a good time in the office cafeteria together. Piyali would sometimes get something for them. Once she got a football keychain for Aarav-which he had used for his car keys now.

One thing that Meha had noticed about Aarav was that he was naturally playful. He said many things, many stupid things actually, but he did not actually mean it. He had a very low threshold for bull shit for if there’s something he didn’t like he didn’t like it. There was no way anyone could change his views, except probably his parents. And his ego... that was a completely different story. Meha didn’t even waste her time thinking about it because he knew she would go on and on forever.

“Last day today,” Piyali jumped up on Meha’s table, “how you feeling?” She lifted Meha’s hand up and tied a charm bracelet oh her wrist. It had a golden sun with rays of light radiating off it-the Sehr Enterprise logo.

“Where did you steal this from?” The bracelet was a silver chain link with the logo that was kind of a pendent now hanging from it.

Piyali shrugged her shoulders. “I found it... just lying about.” She winked and jutted her tongue out. “Well just to let you know the bracelet signifies a milestone of your life. You were telling us the other day how you enjoyed it here and how much this experience means to you. So here it is.” She did a ‘ta-dah’ and opened up her arms out. Meha felt like laughing but she controlled herself while Piyali waited for a reply. “This is the part where you thank me.” She whispered and waited.

Meha laughed at Piyali’s comical expression and went back to her work. From behind his desk, Aarav peeked and looked at the girls’ chit chatting. “People are trying to work here.” He called out. Meha rolled her eyes and typed away on her laptop. She watched as Piyali waltzed towards Aarav’s table and she too turned around in her chair to look at their exchange.
