Recap:
“You guys are too funny sometimes, you know?” She shook her head and then walked out of the room.
“Ok…we can work on this later, ok?” I collected my things and swung my purse on my shoulder.
“Yeah…sure…” Logan replied, and I walked towards the door. I saw him shifting over to the piano and he started laying down some beautiful chords. I smiled, and stood outside the conference room. I peeked back in, and he had a pencil in his mouth, phone on the piano, and a few sheets of manuscript paper. He was humming this song, and it was really great from what I could hear.

“You know no one likes a spy, right?” I heard a familiar voice approach me. I jumped a little as I faced the person standing in front of me.
“Nicki!!!” I flailed my arms around her and she started laughing. “I missed you so much!!”
“Me too! Life was so boring without you back home.” I started laughing knowing that I’m not even that interesting of a person. She was the crazy one….I was the rational one… It’s always been that way. We balance each other out because of that. If I could have one thing of Nicki’s, it would be her confidence.
“Wait, what are you doing here?” I asked, trying to shake myself from this surprise. I looked at her light brown eyes that just screamed mystery.
“Well, my dad has a business conference in LA for the next couple days, and I begged him to come along when I knew that it would be held here.” It’s like she couldn’t get that out of her mouth any faster.
“I’m so glad you’re here. We have so much catching up to do.”
“I can imagine.” She started walking with me back up to my hotel room. “I’m dying to know more about Mr. Young since you never tell me anything.” Come to think of it, that’s actually true. LA moves so fast, that I forget sometimes…
“We went on our first date a couple days ago actually” I brought up. A smile crept to my face just thinking about it.
“Ooooh Sam! Give me all the juicy details and don’t leave out a single word.” I laughed at her, and started to blush a little, the warmth encompassing my face fully. “Aww, you’re blushing!!! What happened?”
“Well he took me to this plateau that overlooked a beach, with the most amazing view…and he sang me a song that he wrote for me.”
“That’s really cute. Did he kiss you?”
“Yes.”
“And how was it?”
“It was sweet, but I didn’t feel all of the bells and whistles that people talk about, you know? But then again, that’s what people say in movies, and movies aren’t very reliable.”
“Well, Sam, did your heart feel unconsciously somewhere else?” I started to think about it. He was great, it was a great day, but did I just get caught up in the greatness of the day? He’s one of the first guys to ever do something so nice for me, and he made me feel special, but did I actually like him as much as I claimed.
