Recap: I glanced over to him, swimming back in forth in the water, now with his goggles on. He was doing laps and the sound of the water splashing up and down filled my ears. He looked innocent in that pool, and I couldn’t help but look down and smile. I was determined to help him, because he just needs someone there for him, and hopefully he finds that ‘one girl’ someday, even if that means Chloe.

The next week rolled around and performance day was here yet again. Honestly, although we were on good terms now, Logan spent most of his week with Chloe. They’ve been doing couple stuff like going to the movies, going to the mall (Logan’s been saying that Chloe’s the shopper and he’s just the bag holder), and whatever else couples do. Today, before I was going to the studio, I was going to hang out with Parker. Talking about Parker, my phone vibrated in my pocket.
Parker: Hey Sam, ready for my surprise?
Me: Of course! :) I love surprises.
Parker: I thought you would be, haha
Me: Ok, when will you be here?
Parker: I already am. :)
I jumped up from the couch I was sprawled across and slipped into my sandals. I walked over to the mirror, pulled my fingers through my hair, then ran a brush through it. I slipped on my sunglasses to cover my eyes, and turned around to face the door. Before I could take a step, Aunt Sasha was standing right there staring at me.
“Does my little Sam have a hot date with you-know-who?” She teased and raised her eyebrow. Her arms were crossed in a mock seriousness position.
“Maybe.” I smiled a little, and felt my cheeks go warm. I turned back around so she couldn’t see my blush. I pursed my lips to try and get it to go away.
“Sam, listen to me.” I directed my attention back to her. “Be careful, ok? Don’t do anything stupid.” Her face looked sincere and she walked over to me.
“I’ll be careful, I promise.” I smiled.
“I know you will be, you’re just like your mother in that sense.” She made a small smile, and looked at me with her eyes welling up. “If not, your father may kill me” she laughed, and I smiled at her.
“Thanks. I love you.”
“Love you too sweetie.” She gave me a huge bear hug. “Now, go, don’t keep your pop star waiting.”
I walked towards the door for real this time and turned back at her to see her smiling like a proud mother at me. I couldn’t help but look down at my feet and wonder what my mom would have done. Probably, most likely, the same thing. Those two were so alike sometimes. I got into the elevator and waited patiently to hit the bottom floor. The whirring was just softer than the music that filled the air. The beep of reaching the ground level woke me out of my slight trance. I was greeted by a cute, smiling face.
“Hey Sam” Parker smiled at me. His dimples were adorable. “You look fantastic.” His eyes lit up.
“Thanks, you don’t look bad yourself.” I laughed. He had on a red and grey plaid shirt, rolled up three-quarters of the way up his arm, and black shorts with sneakers.
“Are you ready for your surprise?” His enthusiasm was sweet and I knew he was excited.
“Of course! So what is this so called surprise?” I asked as we walked through the doors of the hotel. The bright sunshine hit my face. Luckily I had my sunglasses on still. Parker was to my right, his face looked overjoyed.
