This is my revival

The wind on my face is fresh, I can feel the warmth of the sun on my skin. I hear the waves breaking on the tide as I walk up to him.

"Juan" I say to myself. I can see his shadow on the sand. I know it's him. My heart beats fast as I start running. I want to take his hands in mines. He is close.

My feet get wet from the ocean's foam. My smile wakes up for the first time.

My hand catches his as the shadow in front of me materialize.

- Hello darling...

His grey eyes meet mine. My heart stops, a warm feeling invading my whole body.

- Hello Jimin...

The sun pierced through the curtains of Dahlia's window, landing on her small, gentle smile. For the first time in months, the young woman woke up with a smile on her face and no more fresh scars in sight.

She got up from her bed, opening the curtains wide to let the sun invade the room. March was near, and the sun started to make its comeback unto the city. The snow had nearly completely disappeared from the sidewalks. This day would be a good one, she knew it. There were no other options. Putting a sweater over her nightie, she sat for a second on her window side to check her phones.

Jungkook: Sorry I left so fast yesterday. Hope you're better today.

Jimin: Good morning. I found your bra in my limo. Want it back ?

Maevy: I made waffles, want some ? 

As soon as she saw that last message, Dahlia got up in a jump, leaping her way to the kitchen. It was good to feel human again, it was good having her mind off something else for once. As she entered the room, Maevy looked at her, her brow furrowed in surprise, her mouth still open on the bite she just ate.

- You are in an awfully good mood this morning...

- Maybe...

Biting her lips, she laughed candidly while taking a plate out of the cabinet and serving herself a waffle with some maple syrup. She discovered the bronze mixture when she moved in a couple of weeks ago, and like snow, it changed her life.

- Kook told me you had plans, you two had fun?

- Oh no no... I cancelled those. My day at work was... gore. So, I didn't feel like it. I went dinning with my client after the day and he brought me back home.

- A client? A gore day? That's what making you smile? I'm either missing something or you are fucking twisted!

- Well... This client is pretty special. Not my usual boring type. More of a gorgeous, mysterious guy...

- I'm listening...

Dahlia took a mouthful of waffles, still smiling between every bite.

- We had sex in the back of his limo on the way here.

Maevy dropped her fork in her plate, resulting in an awful sound.

- You had sex? With your client? Instead of seeing Kook? Dahlia, you are wild! Who's that mystery client?

- Oh, that, I'm keeping secret!

Dahlia mocked her, pulling out her tongue like a little child. Taking another bite, she simply winked at her. Maevy wouldn't try to get it out of her. Seeing her this happy after all this time, she wouldn't do anything to make it disappear.

- Anyway, I am sure you'll see him soon enough. The case is not completely done and... I think I would like to see him again. We'll see...

Taking her phone out, she replied to her messages.

To Jungkook : Don't worry, do you want to come by today. We could watch a movie like we had planned. Or go for a walk, IDK.

To Jimin : You can keep it for today. We will see each other soon enough, no ?

Maevy continued eating while watching Dahlia. She didn't come home last night until five in the morning. But seemed like her roommate didn't even realized it. And she wasn't about to spill the tea. She needed time to process the night she just had, and her feelings for whomshe actually spent that night with.

- So, for short, I had the "best dick of my life" yesterday... And when I got out of the limo, Kook was waiting for me outside in the snow with Chinese food. And all I could seem to say was that same sentence : " I just had the best dick in my life".

- You said that to Kook? Oh Dahlia Decker, that's bad...

- Yeah... I guess... He looked kind of upset. I don't know why tho...

- You know, he really likes you.

- And I like him too you know! But, he shouldn't be so protective... And I told him not to come. But yeah... I guess I have to make it up to him...

- Oh yes! YOU DO.

Finishing her plate, Dahlia got up to rinse it in the sink and put it in the dishwasher, doing the same with Mae's empty dish.

- What are your plans for today?

- I'm meeting with a friend; we're supposed to go see an expo at the MET.And you?

- I texted Kookie to do what we were supposed to do yesterday. I'm waiting for his answer... You know, movie and maybe pizza, I don't know.

- That's a good plan! Well, I have to get going baby girl if I want to make it in time to meet with... my friend.

- Ok! I will do the dishes. And thanks for breakfast. Have fun!

Dahlia kissed her on the cheek and continued the dishes while a smiling Maevy went to her room to get prepared for her "date". She was actually going to meet with this same guy she just had spent the night with. But she didn't lie. They were actually going to the MET. He invited her when he learned about this new fashion-themed exposition.

Finishing the dishes, Dahlia ran to her room. She didn't have a lot of time left before needing to leave to meet with her friend. She wondered what he had in mind for them, she couldn't wait. This day would be good, she knew it.
