The village looked pretty normal. No one spoke leaving the atmosphere silent. Everyone shifted their weight around."What happened here? Where is everyone? By the looks of this place the people just up and left the town." Bellamy broke the awkward silence.
Murphy, however, saw this as a win.
"Come one, Bellamy. We've got an entire village just waiting for us to take over. Like you said, there's no one here. Look-" John Murphy pushed open a door to one of the houses. "-plenty of food!"
To be completely honest, Murphy didn't know if there was going to be any food in that house. He jumped hoped there was going to be something there and just say the first thing he saw. Luckily, it was food.
"Well, this place does protect us from the bugs. We can stay here for now I think." Clarke added.
The group separated to explore the area. Clarke stared off into the distance. Bellamy walked over to her.
"There are schools here. Lexa and Madi might have a chance to be normal kids. Georgia's kids as well, we can tell them to come over here and they can all go to school. They can actually learn, Bellamy." Clarke stared into Bellamy's brown eyes.
He gave her his Bellamy Blake warm smile. Bellamy put an arm around her shoulders.
"And this baby can grow up as a regular kid. Without anyone trying to murder one another." He chuckled.
Meanwhile, Murphy had walked up the stairs, to a big door. Emori was trying to pick the giant lock with a large knife. She took a quick break and banged her hand against her head. She shook her head and went back to what she was doing.
Murphy found a music playing device. He started playing a song. Murphy grabbed Emori's arm and spun her around.
Lexa ran over and started dancing around. She giggled and laughed.
Her parents watched from the distance.
"Bellamy, watch Lexa. I'm going to go look around."
Clarke wandered off. The sky was an orange color, due to the sun's redness. The air was much thicker and hotter.
The area was decorated quite nicely, there were very vibrant colors everywhere. The village was covered with flowers, banners and flags. Flags. There was something about the flags that Clarke had noticed.
"Hey, Bell?" She called
"Yea, babe?" He took another glance at Lexa before Miller reassured him that he would watch her.
"Look at these flags, the symbol." She pointed out.
The bright flags had the same infinity symbol that the group had seen on earth.
"Alie?" Bellamy asked.
Clarke thought for a moment. Echo came over.
"No, I think Becca designed the technology for Eligius."
"You destroy the world, and 200 years later, they worship you and put you on a flag." Echo shrugged disappointedly.
"It's not the only thing they worshipped." Jackson mentioned.
He showed them what he had found.
"What is this?" Bellamy bent down to examine the find.
"Some sort of shrine." Clarke added.
"All have the last name Lightbourne."
The group closed the door, not wanting to intrude on someone's private space any longer.
Clarke sat down on the swings to watch her daughter. Something had caught Bellamy's eyes as he was coming out, so he was still inside.
The radios seemed to have stopped working as well.
"Octavia? Do you copy?" Clarke held the button that let her talk. There was no response.
Murphy was still dancing around. He had gone all the way down the stairs from the locked door now and he was still going.
Suddenly, he stopped and pointed at something in the distance. A flash of light. There was some sort of ship in the distance.
"Clarke! Echo! Have you seen this?" Bellamy ran out with a book in his hands.
Echo and Clarke were closest to the house they came from which is why he called both of them.
"Isn't that just a child's book?" Echo exclaimed.
"Here read it."
"Trees and plants give us shade, we need them every day." Bellamy flipped a page. "When the stars align and the forest wakes, it's time to run away."
Clarke took the book in her hands and flipped through the pages herself.
"For two days, heaven is hell and friends are foe." Clarke mumbled, reading the rest in her head.
"This isn't just a nursery rhyme," she started. "It's a warning!" Clarke looked up, her eyes immediately darted to Lexa.
Beside her, Emori was shaking, faced towards the wall. She slowly turned. Something about her has changed. It was as if hate was radiating from her body.
"LEXA! GET AWAY FROM HER RIGHT NOW! I SAID RIGHT NOW! COME HERE!" Clarke's yelled.
Emori started charging down the stairs, Lexa not too far in front. Clarke's daughter ran straight into her mother's arms. Her father ran in front to protect her.
Emori turned and ran towards Murphy, with her knife in hand. With one swift swing, she stabbed Murphy. He was so stunned he couldn't move.
Jackson and Miller tore her off of him and held her down. She started shouting angrily at John as he fell to the ground.
Omg finally got around to finishing the chapter!!!!!! So sorry.
