After spending some more time exploring the other dance rooms together with Valerie I told her I was going to run back to my dorm to finish getting settled in. When we first arrived Alexandria and I were so excited about the tour guide that we hardly didn't even get a chance to properly unpack our things, leaving everything to be tossed off to the side in one giant pile of disaster. And to top if off, I still have to find Alexandria and apologize for my earlier behavior and uncalled for hurtful remark. Had I known it would've rubbed her the wrong way my dumbass would've stayed silent; but Alexandrias mood swings can be so unpredictable sometimes, she becomes so sensitive when you least expect it. She really needs to work on that. Whatever, it'll blow over eventually.

And so as I'm walking back towards the hallway I quicken my pace to reach the elevator doors before they close on me. Once I'm inside I heave a sigh and rest my head up against the wall. Its been a long day today so far and its only 3:15 in the afternoon. I'm exhausted. I blame it on the fact that I hardly didn't get any sleep last night, not for lack of wanting to, but because my mind was too preoccupied with thoughts of how todays events were going to unfold. Opportunities like this only come once in a lifetime, and when you're given such opportunities, you have to take advantage of them. Starting today its safe to say that I am officially living my best life. Well, actually, Alexandria and I are officially living our best lives. We came here together, and we will finish strong together. She's my partner in crime, my little sister, the pain in my ass, but also the best friend I can't live without.

Even if we don't win the competition, which is obviously the ultimate goal, I want to leave here knowing that the experiences and the friends I've made will change my life for the better. But for now I can't wait to see what else the academy has to offer. The elevator is somewhat packed, and the loud music along with the abrupt conversations belonging to random strangers around me is my entertainment for the next few seconds before it comes to a stop on the fourth floor. All at once everyone spills out of the small confined space, only for it to be refilled with a different group of people shoving and pushing their way in moments later. Jeez, people better cool it with all that. If someone happens to shove past me hard enough to make me fall before I can make it back to my dorm intact they're gonna get it.

Thankfully, I've made it back to my dorm and I breathe a sigh of relief as soon as I step inside. And I'm surprised to see John comfortably stretched out on one of the beds. I thought I would've been back way before him. He has on a pair of beats headphones and he's bobbing his head to the music, but stops when he notices me. He takes off his headphones and asks, "What happened to you? You look like you just got done running a marathon," he says with a slight laugh. Shaking my head, I say "Its crazy out there dude. People are shoving and pushing all over the damn place. I was ready to let somebody have it." Annoyed, I take my beanie off and toss it to the side and plop down on the bed. Man, that feels so nice. "For real, man thats why I came back. I'm not tryna deal with all that right now. Its too hectic, hella crowded. I figured I'd relax first and then check things out later." "Yeah me too." He props another pillow behind his back to give him more support and then positions himself to sit upright. After taking a sip from the bottled water resting on his night stand he asks, "So how'd it go? Did you enjoy the tour guide?"

"Honestly, I did. Everything was pretty dope, especially the variety of dance rooms that they have. I hope we get to use them as practice rooms later on," I say tucking my hand under my chin to face him while lying on my side. "I'm sure we can just as long as they're being used for that intended style of dancing." I nod in agreement. "True." I yawn before adding, "Speaking of which, what classes did you sign up for dude?" "Uh," he thinks for a moment, "So I did hip-hop, free style, solo performance, and professional live performance." I didn't even see live performance anywhere on the sign up sheets. How could I have missed it? I guess I must've not been paying close enough attention. "Oh, wow, that live performance sounds interesting. Whats the difference?" "From what was stated on the sign up sheets, its basically a class in which teaches you the basic fundamentals on how to prepare for a live performance, whereas solo performance is just focused on teaching you what solo performing consists of and how to get more comfortable with it." Hm. I still don't know how I missed that. Thats a class worth taking, one me and Alexandria could definitely benefit from. "Do you think I could still sign up for it? The live performance?" I ask curiously. He stares back and smiles at the idea. "Yeah, for sure. I think you should. I'll even go with you in a little bit if you want. Signs up should be open for like another hour or so," he tells me looking down at his wrist watch to check the time."
