Yiren worked quickly and deftly.
Her long, slender fingers bound and treated the wound on Seungmin's side quickly. He didn't stir, though. Hyunjin watched it all with worry in his eyes.
How Sicheng and Yiren loved each other was how he loved Seungmin. He loved Yeji but sometimes he felt like he related to Seungmin more than her. Still he loved them both.
"Will he be alright?"
Yiren turned around. The sunlight hit her eyes and illuminated them. They were darker than chocolate yet still distinctly brown and not black. At a certain angle he saw flecks of gold in them - a dozen tiny sunbursts in each dark iris.
Like golden stars upon a dark night.
She nodded and pushed her hair, as dark as her irises, away from her face. Her coral red lips were pressed together. Wether it was just how they were or it was set in a grim line, Hyunjin had no idea. He hoped it was the first. There was lesser chance that Seungmin might be in danger if it was.
"Better. If all goes to plan he should be fine in a couple of days. He's lucky the bullet didn't hit anything important, " she said, looking back at the sleeping male on the infarmary bed. She pulled up the blanket - an almost sisterly, motherly gesture.
" What if it doesn't?" Hyunjin asked as he glanced up from Seungmin to her. The golden sunbursts in her eyes had now blended themselves with the rest of her dark irises. He was faintly disappointed. They'd been really pretty.
" That I don't know," Yiren replied. Her shoulder felt like shit but she still hadn't told anyone. When she wanted she could she could be very stubborn. "What happens next? The Russians followed me here. It isn't safe anymore. Where can we go?"
Hyunjin bit down on his bottom lip. He'd been thinking about that too. The Hwang estate was no longer safe for him or Yiren or Seungmin or anyone in general. This was the only estate the Hwangs had in Korea. Then . . .
"We need to leave Korea," he said firmly.
Yiren bit down on her lip too. That much had been obvious. Korea wasn't safe for her or Sicheng. They needed to leave. Actually, the Hwangs needed to leave too. If they stayed the Russians would surely target them too.
"Where?"
" Japan. There's a Hwang estate there. It's highly secured. We should be safer there then we will be here," Hyunjin decided. He vaguely remembered the Japanese house - a white house, a garden of white and gold roses.
" We should split up. It'll be safer that way." Yiren turned her head away. She'd been with Hyunjin only for a while now yet she already had taken a great liking towards him. She didn't particularly like the idea of leaving him, but he would most likely agree with splitting up.
He surprised her by shaking his head. " No. You'll be in greater danger by yourself than if you're with a group. Besides, I swore to your fathers that I'll keep you safe at any cost. Letting you go won't fulfill that. Besides, I don't like to break my promises."
How expected of her parents. They'd do anything to keep her safe. Of course they'd make the Hwangs swear to do the same thing. She loved them for that amongst other things.
"Fine then. But for Sicheng and Tzuyu, I'm sending them to somewhere where they have to be safe. "
Hyunjin raised a brow. "And where is this so called safe place?"
A small smile played on Yiren's lips. "Sicheng's crush. Nakamoto Yuta. "

"No way!"
Yiren blinked. She'd expected Sicheng to accept not protest. She tilted her head to the side. " Why not, ge? You'll be safer there. You and Tzuyu both. Besides, I thought you'd like the idea of staying with Yuta. "
" I would accept if you're coming with me, but you're not. You'll be in so much danger!" Sicheng held Yiren by the shoulder, unknowingly digging into the bullet wound there. Pain flared up there but she managed to keep it out of her expression.
" Ge. I would gladly go with you and Tzuyu, but that'll only put you both in danger. Can't you see? If you're not by me you'll be safe," Yiren argued.
Sicheng's face was a mask of blank loss and pain. He clearly didn't want to leave her, his lifelong friend and little sister. She saw that, and her face softened. " Ge. At least,do it for Tzuyu. You're her big brother too. It's your job to protect her too. Go to Yuta's with her. That way you can keep her safe. She's your sister. It'd your job to do so."
He bit his lip. There was an internal war in his mind. One side said leave with Tzuyu and go to Yuta. The other said send only his sister and stay with Yiren. He didn't know what to do.
" I don't know what to do without you, " he said helplessly. Yiren smiled sadly. Sicheng was much more independent, intelligent and strong willed then he'd ever give himself credit for. He could survive without her.
"You do, Sicheng. You do."

Juhyun only smiled mischievously as she and Jeongin dragged a confused Jungkook out.
" Where are we going? " he questioned as they entered a jet black Rolls Royce.
" You'll see," Jeongin only replied with that sunny smile of his.
For the first time Jungkook saw the mansion from the outside. A gargantuan white and black building, lined with gold and adorned with, obviously, pastel coloured flowers in elaborate gold and porcelain vases. All around the property was a high spiked iron fence that contrasted sharply against the softness the pale flowers gave to the whole house.
The car continued to go before stopping at a place Jungkook had constantly begged Juhyun and Jeongin to bring him.
The amusement park.
