The following days after her encounter with Rose were filled with too much emotion. Not knowing how to handle it all, Jade decided to turn to her friends about the situation- but not directly. She explained everything that happened with Rose, but in her story, she replaced Rose with Jesse. That way, she could open up about this secret she's been keeping while still keeping some of it secret. The load was just a little lighter from doing so but it really did help. Sitting on Jade's bed, Kristen said;
"You know what, I noticed how guys do that a lot! They'll do things to lead you on and then act surprised that you caught feelings. Like what kind of crap is that?"
"Like sorry we women actually expected something real out of you childish men.", Holly added, as she grabbed some m&m's from Jade's bed.
The girls were having a sleepover, trying to help Jade up cheer up from her heartbreak.
While playing with Jade's hair, Callie added;
"I'm sorry I pushed you to be with Jesse so much. He's clearly a dick."
Jade then paused to realize what she had just done. Jesse being the only other person, aside from Rose, to know her secret, was being lied about- by her. She didn't want to ruin his name or anything, especially after how sweet he was to her during and after their relationship. But she couldn't take it back without coming out to all her friends and she just wasn't ready to do that. So she kept playing along, but she had to carry that sick feeling in her stomach for a while, before finally deciding she couldn't take any emotion anymore.
"You know what would really cheer me up.", Jade said as she jumped out of her bed.
The girls then all looked at each other confused, and then back to her. So she finished;
"Going to a party!", Jade said enthusiastically.
Callie then stands up on the bed and excitedly answered;
"OMG. That's so perfect you said that cause Dylan's having a house party tonight!"
Kristen then gasps before answering;
"Dude, remember last year's party? That was seriously one of the wildest nights of my life!"
"Oh wait, he's the one with that big ass house and the hot tub?", Holly asked.
Jade then cut them off and said;
"Wait this is perfect then! We have to go!"
Kristen then looked at how excited Jade was and got concerned.
"Wait, it's not the best idea to drink when you're heartbroken though.. You're gonna feel worse in the morning!"
"Oh come on, it can't be worse than how I felt when I was left crying on the school's football field until the sun practically came up.", Jade answered.
"Yeah, screw Jesse, honestly.", Holly answered, while getting up.
"Yeah, we're gonna find you a bigger and better version of Jesse, if you know what I mean.", Callie said while smirking and nudging Jade.
"Okay, gross. Let's just have some fun tonight, okay girls? No setting me up tonight!", Jade warned the girls.
They then rolled their eyes and laughed as they got up and started to play some music to get ready for their night.
They finish getting ready, call a taxi and arrive in the driveway of the already active party. When they entered, people were everywhere. Dylan always hosts a party in the summer and whenever he did, it was always a good time. People were jumping to the beat of the music, others were sliding down the staircase, some were making out in a corner, some were playing beer pong and others were in the hot tub outside. It didn't take much time for them to get drunk enough to let loose that night.
