"I love you"
The words permanently inked on her lips as she said them as an endless haunted prayer.
However those words seemed so useless to her now as they were nothing to her but yet meant absolutely everything to him as she whispered it to him on his bare skin as her lips ran through the top of his head to his stomach.
And the way she knelt down before him with tears filling her eyes and sounds of pleasure and incoherent curse words left his lips.
At this point it all meant nothing to her.
But everything to him.
However he wouldn't touch her, she didn't want him to touch her and would just pleasure him if it just meant his cold fingers wouldn't touch her bruised skin and her delicate wounds both old and new.
And Harry let her, he didn't mind.... at first. He was getting everything he needed but he just needed her more and more and sometimes the things she would give just wasn't enough.
Today was different, different as in there was no yelling, no crying, no added bruises to the delicate skin.
It was a good day.
Yet outside was a different story as the drops of rain rolled down the window and there was no sun in sight as the sky cried.
Cried like the girl that laid in the bed, burying her face in the pillows with the man that had so much power over her laid beside her.
But there was none of that just smiles; both fake and real with kisses and warmth. The skies shined and so did they.
For now.
"Wake up, lovely girl," he cooed in her ear with a wide smile before pecking her cheeks and her lips and everywhere that needed to be kissed. "Come on wake up I have a surprise."
And he basically dragged her down the stairs in excitement, Lenita's eyes filled with sleep but a smile on her face nonetheless as she saw the person she loved filled with happiness and joy instead of anger and tears.
So if it meant she was woken out of her sleep at eight in the morning just to see a smile for once she was very much okay with that.
"What are we doing up so early?" She asked him as she sat on a high stool watching him fuss around the kitchen.
"We're going to make breakfast- well I'm going to make breakfast and you're going to watch me."
"I don't know... after the grilled cheese incident I'm very concerned about your food," she teased him and he rolled his eyes with a small smile.
"I've cooked you many meals after that and you enjoyed them."
"That's what I wanted you to think."
And this felt right. At that moment it felt right.
With Harry making jokes whilst acting as if he was on a cooking show, burning himself a couple times along the way as he mumbled a couple curse words under his breath."A kiss for the chef," he requested as he leaned over the counter that stood between them as she pretended contemplating the request.
"Hmm... I mean I don't know, I've been waiting for thirty minutes and I couldn't even eat a piece of food. You kept smacking my hand away."
"Because I don't want you getting full so soon. Just a few more minutes baby."
"Then no kiss."
"Just one."
"No."
"One peck."
"No."
"One just right here," he pleaded pointing at his puckered lips.
"No you're mean."
"Okay the cheek."
"The cheek?"
"Yes baby," he answered and she reluctantly gave in leaning in to kiss his cheek and as she did Harry turned his head so her lips would fall on his.
"You tricked me!" Lenita whined, pulling away in shock as Harry laughed turning his body away from her as he finished up the meal.
"Can you set the table, lovely? Just need to add the finishing touches and it should be ready in a minute."
She hated that she loved him so much that no matter how he treated her, she stood by him, that being her biggest flaw that she couldn't let go.
And as they sat and ate with smiles both subtly on their faces, their skin glowing under the sunlight. And when Lenita wasn't looking he would admire her-or he admired the fact that she couldn't live without him and how she felt the need to always be with him and please him.
He admired the fact that she was in love with him.
And he was obsessed with her.
"Tell me you love me, baby." He looked in her eyes that looked so bright and happy as she smiled at him.
"I love you."
"Always?"
"Always."
Devious, in all his ways yet Lenita blinded by oblivion and love not seeing it.
And she listened to Harrys stories the one where he travelled all over Europe seeking for adventure and hoping for answers, or the time he got caught sneaking out of the house or his first girlfriend and his first awkward kiss.
Broken love.
that was the best way to describe what they had for each other.
A love that didn't really make that much sense but yet too blinded by it to see how truly broken it was. She would one day, she would understand that there was a better love than the one she had.
But for now she just had to deal with the ups and the downs and the smiles and the cries and the yelling and whispers of sweet nothings.
For now she had to deal with the bruises from long and lingering kisses to the neck and the bruises that turned a harsh purple from scarred knuckles.
She didn't know another way. She thought this was perhaps the only way to be loved... that this is how love was supposed to be.
There was no better love- and she welcomed the love (that wasn't really love) with open arms.
She was enough for him... for now as the sun was bright and smiles wide.
But then a drop of rain dropped from the skies , landing on the window. The skies were about to cry and Lenita and Harry both knew that the fun was over.
