I'm dividing the routine into a morning and evening one as there will be difference in the products which we use for example there are some products which can't be used in the morning as they cause sensitivity and we don't actually need to use a huge 15 step regimen in the morning as we won't have much time. Layering the products is really necessary and please follow it accordingly.
Step 1:
Cleanse the face and neck from all the leftover products from the night before. Cleanse it with warm water with a good cleanser that suits your type. Use warm water but not hot water as it strips your skin. If your skin is feeling sensitive at the moment use just drinking water or colloidal oats solution.
You can make the solution by adding 2tbsp into drinking water and leave it for half an hour.
Step 2:
Use a toner. Toning your face is an important step and don't skip it as it cleans your face from dirt left by cleanser and it also balances the pH of your skin. A toner adds a layer of protection and helps your skin so as to not secrete oils. There are different types of toners such as hydrating, exfoliating, balancing use the one which you require. Remember to use a non alcoholic toner as it dries out your skin.Step 3: Serum
A Serum is nothing but a highly concentrated solution that are targeted to treat specific problem. Use a Serum that solves your skin problem. Take a few drops of serum and warm it by slightly rubbing it in your palms work it from your nose to cheeks by outward strokes. Tap it into your skin and give it a few minutes before applying the next product. It is not mandatory to use a Serum ....use it only if necessary.Step 4: Eye cream
Again this is also not a mandatory step but applying an eye cream will help against crows feet on your face if you are older. While selecting an eye cream select one that is hydrating instead of making your skin feel stiff. Take a few drops onto your fingertips (the fourth one as it's gentle) and apply it starting from inwards to the outer edges gently as the area around the eye is the most sensitive part.Step 5:
Whether you have dry skin or oily skin it is a necessary step to moisturise your skin...it just depends on what type of moisturizer you use. Oily skin people also require moisturizer as it maintains a protective barrier against harsh conditions outside. Dry skin people can use cream based moisturizer and oily skin can use gel based moisturizer, sensitive skin people can use either. Hydrate when your skin is damp. Lock in hydration with a moisturizer. Don't use products that specify "oil-free" as they generally tend to produce more oiliness.Step 6:
We're coming to the most important part of our routine which is sunscreen. You can use any kind of sunscreen that works for you i.e either chemical or mineral sunscreen but make sure it protects you against uva,uvb rays and contains pa+++ mark. Reapply your sunscreen after every 2 hours.Eat healthy. Stay happy.
