"Hey..." Nina said to her friends awkwardly. Her hair was now a stylish pixie cut, and her full lips popped with pink lipstick. Nothing else (apart from her body shape) had really changed with her. But Alya was straight, so it posed a problem for the young couple. "...Babe?" She said, worried Alya would rebuke her.
Alya gave a sad smile. "Its okay Nina... You didn't CHOOSE for this to happen to you..." Nina gave Alya a longing look, and Alya did the same. Marinette pulled them into a group hug, as if to say, Don't worry, its all going to be all right!
"Hey Alya," Marinette said, "Since you guys ARE dating, does it really matter what happens between you and Nina? I mean, technically its still Nino, just in a different shape." Alya gave her friend a loving and somewhat embarrassed look.
"You know what, yeah." Alya said enthusiastically. The orange haired girl padded over to Nina and gave her a big fat kiss. Nina kissed back.
After a while, Marinette said to them, "Oh get a room you two!" Alya gave a devilish smirk as she pulled away from her (girl/boy)friend. "Yeah Nino- I mean, Nina. Let's get a room!" She pulled on her partner's arm. "It's time to go anyways! Bye Mari!"
She ran with Nina to the car, where she explained all the potential confusion of her older sister, Anansi (Nora).
Marinette decided to walk to her house alone that day.
And she regretted it for the next few years of her life.
