We reached my favorite part of the whole trip."We're going on a trip! in our favorite water ship!" I sang out loud, not caring if stares were sent at us.
"Since when was it a water ship? " Appa commented, not caring as well about the stares. He was holding a good amount of luggage in both arms.
"Well its not a rocket ship, isn't it?" I said, skipping around happily on the wooden board that leads to the entrance of the ferry.
"Fair point." He chuckled.
I felt as if I've forgot something, and if I've never looked behind me, I'd never notice the prince who's limping on his right leg. He was way behind us, and it seems that appa never cared to help him.
I quickly approached him, supporting him with his arm behind me once again. My eyes were averted to appa, who was staring with a disapproval look. I rolled my eyes and continued with the supporting.
"Have you ever rode in a ship before?" I asked him, he just shook his head.
"Are you nervous?" I asked again, and he just shrugged.
"I like ships. Their view is so nice and you can just feel the breeze while running around the deck." That smile creeped up my face as I was saying that, thinking maybe he was a little nervous so I tried comforting him, even if it's just a bit.
He just nodded.
. . . . . . . . . . .
"Is it supposed to be tilting like that?" The prince asked out of worry, holding on to the bunk bed's pole.
Well, the ship isn't ACTUALLY tilting. It's more like just swaying from a side to another in a normal manner.
Maybe he's nervous, I thought.
"Come" I extended my hand for his. His hair all slid to one side as he tilted his head in confusion.
"Wae?" He asked.
"Just come with me. I want to show you something" he finally accepted the hand and wobbled his way with my support to the deck.
I saw his eyes squint at the sunlight hitting his pale face. He blinked a few times before adjusting to the Rays of sunshine.
The deck was so empty and large. The rest of the passengers were probably chilling by the luxurious pool or somewhere.
Where did appa get the money to afford such a thing anyways? I thought.
It was brushed off right away, as we made our way to the fence of the ship. I let go of the prince and he held the fence for support. His eyes widened at the beautiful scenery of the river we were crossing. I love the way his eyes always sparkled like a kid when fascination kicks in.
The river was a mix of blue and green, tinted by the bright sunlight and the brushing breeze of spring. Along a side, stood the green and yellowish grassy fields that just seemed so peaceful to daydream at.
Slowly, I saw a smile creeping to his face, but he soon hid it behind his palm.
"I saw that" I said. I grabbed his hand, pulling to see his bright and kind smile that hid underneath.
"You get fascinated easily, don't you?" I asked, knowing the answer by the way he looks at things like a gift he's always yearned for.
"Is it obvious?" He asked, still focused on the scenery and smiling.
"Well.. I noticed it multiple times. From the taste of ice cream, to the fireflies you were staring at with awe that night, to the stars, and to this beautiful scenery" I said, staring at the same river as well.
