Three days later, I feel better and we decide it’s time to go home on August 2nd. Cloud showed me around his old home town and also told me the story of what happened a few years ago when Sephiroth burnt it down and made Zack and him become an experiment of Hojo’s. He also showed me where his house use to be and that his mother was caught in the fire, dyeing right in it. By the look on his face, he was still hurting a bit from that dreadful day, so I grabbed his hand and looked at him reassuringly. He then smiled and we continued on, we also met Tifa’s martial arts master, Zangan. We talk for a bit and then he just talks to Cloud and I see Zangan make Cloud really uncomfortable since he put his hand up on the back of his head and smiled sheepishly. I just smile then look down, realizing that it was probably about why him and Tifa never got together instead of me, that starts to get stuck in my head the more I think about it, also having a feeling that I’m forgetting something.

Soon though, we caught a plane back home and dropped Anna and Zack off at their place then went home ourselves. On the way home though, I started to feel really bad and all my emotions seem to be coming to the surface but I ignore them. When we stepped into the house, Cloud puts everything up into our room and I just stand off to the side of the walk area from the front door. When he comes back down, I can sense his eyes on me since I was standing there, looking at the ground with a sad look on my face. I just feel like crying. He then comes over to me.

“Hey, you alright?” he asks, concerened.

After I don’t answer, he puts his hands on my shoulders and I look at him. He looks down at me with much worry in his eyes that it starts to make me tear up a bit.

“Babe...” he says and pulls me to him, hugging me. “What’s wrong?”

“I-I’m fine.” I say, taking a deep breath and wiping the tears away with the back of my sleeve.

“You don’t look alright.” He says, holding my shoulders again and I look down now thinking.

“Did we forget anything important?” I ask and he looks at me a little confused, raising his right eyebrow.

“No. Why?”

“I just feel like we forgot something. Something important or I’m missing something.” I say, looking up at him and that’s when his expression goes to understanding, knowing exactly what I mean.

“What? What is it?” I ask and he looks back down at me in a bit of sadness and concern.

“You’re not gonna like this.” He says.

“Tell me.” I say starting to worry. “Please.”

He lets out a big sigh, closing his eyes and looking down then looks back up to me.

“Did you know at all that you were… pregnant?” he asks and I feel my eyes widen.

“What? But-But we haven’t even done it yet!” I say, feeling my knees starting to go weak.

“Pregnant?....” I say to myself, trying to get it through.

“Yeah, that’s also another reason why it took so long for you to heal, because there was a sign of early pregnancy.” He says and I feel my knees go out but he quickly catches me, holding me to him. “What happened after the crash is that we had to find a hospital near-by but since we didn’t have any way of getting there, it was about a day or 2 walk.  We got there in a day and a half, then the process of them checking you both took a few more days but you were bandaged up at this point and whatever bleeding had stopped. After he checked Anna over, he checked you and found something weird about your information that he gathered. He already concluded that in order to save both of your lives, we would have to put SOLDIER material inside you, so Jenova cells and Mako poisoning but he was still concerned about you. He did a few more tests, asked me things and finally concluded that you were a few days pregnant. He was confused at first since I told him we have never done it but didn’t pay any attention really to it.”

“What did he… have to do?” I ask, trying to get my footing but is useless.

“He had to use a procedure to take out the fertilized egg since he said that if we kept it, not only will it hurt more at birth since we haven’t done it but it could also kill you because of this crash, or it won’t let your body heal after putting the implants in. it could have just killed you in the hospital there.” he says looking down at me a bit, and I’m still in his chest with his shirt balled in my hands and forehead on his left peck. “Also the doctor told me not to say anything to you since it could make you upset and stress you out which could also be fatal since you just woke up to your new body.”

I sit there, taking it all in and I feel him gently rubbing my back to relax me. Then I take a deep intake of air and he pulls me away from his gently.

“You okay?” he asks gently and I close my eyes then shake my head slightly, signifying no.

“Alright then, let’s get you relaxed.” He says, starting to take me to the stairs then picks me up once I’m not wanting to really walk.

He takes me to the room then puts me down when we are in the bathroom. He runs the tub and puts a few relaxing crystals in it the hot bath to help calm me. He then shuts it off and comes to me, till he is standing in front of me.

“Your bath is ready babe.” He says and I nod my head. “You want me to stay in here with you?”

I gently shake my head no.

“Alright. Well if you need anything I’ll be in the room, so just shout.” He says and I nod, still staring at the floor in a bit of shock.

He gently kisses my forehead and goes out. Then I undress and get into the bath, feeling the hot water wrap around my skin, which seems to be cold since getting home and being told that.
