i dont actually follow the show's timeline (just a heads up). this is just a filler chapter btw

This day is not as eventful as the
previous one I had. Nothing else happened except for the Adrien and Chat Noir encounter. The teacher was nowhere near close to finishing the lesson for today (due to distractions) when the most beloved bell finally rang, bringing a series of overjoyed sighs from students and a groan from the teacher.

Me, Alya and Marinette decided to walk home together but not without getting some ice cream. Alya and Marinette kept talking about random stuff that I have no interest in. So I tuned them out.

"(Y/N)," I perked up my ears as Marinette called my name. "You've been awfully quiet this whole time."

"Yeah," Alya agreed with a slight smirk on her face. I swear this woman is the devil in disguise. "You were just looking at the ground while walking. You usually laugh at Marinette's jokes-even if they're not that funny."

"Hey!" Marinette nudged Alya's arm in annoyance. "They're not that bad."

"Yes they are, Marinette."

"No they're not!" She then looked at me, "What do you think about my jokes,
(Y/N)? Are they as bad as Alya said they are?"

"Um," I gulped down. Should I tell her? Should I tell her the whole truth?? That her jokes are terrible and are just about how Adrien looks, smells and their little family of three in the future???

"Damn you didn't have to go that hard on our dear Marinette." Alya chuckled and teasingly patted Marinette's slumped shoulders.

"...What do you mean?"

"Are my jokes only about Adrien?" I pursed my lips and hesitantly nodded. Another forbidden thought said out loud. I really need to start thinking twice.

"..Wow." Marinette took a deep breath and sighed, "Am I too much?"

Alya squinted, "Too much? What do you mean too much?"

"Am I doing too much? Am I crushing on him too much? Are my feelings all over the place?" She paused, "Am I all over the place?"

"Well...you kinda are." I gave Alya a glare to which she just shrugged at.

Marinette sighed, "It's okay (Y/N). I was asking for answers anyway."

Marinette sat down on a nearby bench, looking deep in thought. As if on cue, me and Alya glanced at each other and gave ourselves a determined nod.
Alya sat down beside Marinette, "Hey, it's alright. You're 14, you can never love too much."

"Besides," I sat down on the left side of Marinette, "What's wrong with being all over the place? At least you're not a coward." I winced at my own words for I am the embodiment, ohysical manifestation of the word, coward.

"That is true." Marinette nodded.

"It is true, if I do say so myself."

Marinette embraced us in a tight hug, nearly taking our breath away.

AHA! Jokes on her, she already took my breath away!

...Let's pretend that I didn't say that.

Marinette smiled to us and said, "You always know what to say."
