Chapter 7: Jikook

"What the hell?" I plastered Jungkook with a glare, still sat on the carpeted floor.

"Jimin I hate you!" He shouted instead of giving me an explanation, his glare also matching mine.

"I bloody know you do!" I shouted, getting up and dusting myself.

"Ugh!" He kicked the side of the sofa where a startled Jin hyung was still sitting. Only a second later, he was clutching his foot in pain.

I went to go help him as he stumbled, but he pushed me away grumpily.

"Don't touch me you bitch!"

"What the fuck Jungkook?"

"You- you traitor!" He stumbled with his words.

"How am I... ?" I was extremely confused at this point. Was he drunk? Had I done something? I hadn't done anything. So why was he acting like this?

"I... I'll leave you guys to talk." Jin hyung said, leaving us abruptly to go into the kitchen.

We stayed quite for a minute or two, the silence strong and intense. Once I heard Jungkook's breaths rhythmic again; I knew he had calmed down.

"Want to tell me what that was about now?" I asked, going to sit on the sofa.

"You- ! We broke up just this morning and you've- you've already moved on!"

"How?" I lifted my eyebrows at him, "moved on how?" I stayed calm, unlike Jungkook who was clearly flustered and frustrated.

"You and Jin hyung!"

"Hmm."

"So it's true then?" He sat a little further from me on the sofa, eyes glistening with tears. "While I was bawling my eyes out in the room, you're here already putting yourself out there again."

"There you go assuming things again."

"I'm not assuming anything! You just said hmm that means a yes."

"I was just processing what you were saying. I never agreed to anything. And why were you bawling your eyes out?"

"Because- because!"

"Because?"

"I... I regret breaking up with you Jimin. And I- I'm sorry for not listening to you. I'm stupid, and- and my pride is stupid!"

"Jungkook," I scooted closer to him. "I'm sorry-"

"God damnit!" I looked up to see Tae standing there with a fake pout on his face. "Why can't you two argue properly anymore? It's getting a bit boring."

"Go away Tae." I sighed, wanting to punch him for eves-dropping. On second thought, "how long have you been here?"

"Since the beginning. I heard Jungkook crying in your room so I told him to go punch your face in." He grinned.

Of course. I needed to get a new best friend.

I turned back to Jungkook, "I'm sorry for saying all those things about you. I've just been stressed lately. I know that's not an excuse, but I promise I'll try better. For you."

"Jimin you don't need to apologise." He said quietly, smiling a little as I wiped the tears out of his eyes.

"I do."

"Don't let him sweet talk you out of punching him Kookie." Tae interrupted us. He was still here?

"Tae go away."
