It's Not A Joke

Tori took a deep breath, fixed her hair in the mirror inside her locker, and applied some fresh lip gloss.

"Okay, you can do this. For Jade. For Cat. For Beck." She gave herself a small pep talk and started walking over. "Nope. Nope. Can't do it. Might physically hurl." She ran back to her locker just in time to see Beck walking to his, a frown on his face and two girls on either side of him, his two girls. The pouty red head and the girl with dark hair and a permanent glare.

Tori sucked in a breath and started walking over to him again. "I can do this. It won't be long, maybe a week, hopefully less." She muttered.

"Hiya Tori! Wanna see my new pear pad natural?! It's much smaller than my giant pear pad no one liked!"

Tori threw on her best fake smile and fluttered her eyelashes. "Hey Robbie. That sounds great, but I was just, uh, wondering if you wanted to go out."

"Go out where? Outside? Why?"

"No, um, go out. On a date. With me."
She explained still smiling.

"Heh." He chuckled, looking around. "Is this a joke? I don't appreciate it, Tori. Where are the cameras?"

Tori swallowed hard and got closer to him. "I'm not joking. I think nerdy guys with curly hair are really cute."

"Really?"

"Keep walking Sinjin!" Tori snapped becoming grossed out. "I only have eyes for one nerdy guy with curly locks." She sighed adoringly.

Robbie gulped and let out a yelp. "What? You, you like me? You don't like me." He chuckled. "Right?"

"No, no I do!" She forced out. "I- I really do." She batted her eyes.

"But- But- But- I- I repulse girls."

"Not me." Tori said reaching up to play with his hair. "I like your springy and greasy." She removed her hand and wiped it on his shirt. "-hair." She chuckled nervously and giggled.

"Since when?" Robbie asked in a loud squeaky tone of voice. "You don't-"

Tori saw Cat looking over and rushed to plant her lips on Robbie's.

Robbie wimpered then he sighed contently and pulled away. "Okay."

"Okay?" Tori said casually wiping her mouth on her sleeve. "Okay what?"

"Okay. I'll go out with you, love muffin." He tapped her nose.

"Oh, uh, great." She forced a flirty smile and tried not to gag. "Can't wait, buttercup." She said seductively.

Robbie grinned widely. "I have to go tell everyone!" He ran off yelling. "I'm dating Tori Vega! It's true! It's not a joke!" at the top of his lungs.

"T-Tori?" Cat asked when Tori went over to where they were standing.

"Oh, hey guys. Did you see that?"

Cat pouted more. "Yeah. You, uh, you like Robbie? Since when?" She threw on a fake smile. "Since when do you like Robbie? Robbie Sharpiro?"

"Oh, well I just think he's the cutest, but I didn't want to say anything since I thought you two were a thing, but now that I know you're actually dating Beck I didn't think you would mind if I asked out Robbie. Do you mind? I won't go out with him if you like him, Cat. Just say the word."

"No no, no. It's, it's fine. You're right I am dating Beck and Robbie is.." She frowned deeply. "..single. And any girl can date him if she wants to.. I just never thought any girl wanted too."

"Well as long as you don't mind. Thanks Cat! You're a peach!" She tapped Cat on the nose and ran off.

Cat wimpered. "Ahuuh."

"You okay, Kitty?"

"Yeah, I'm okay. Robbie's not mine or anything. He's single and he can date whoever he wants." She blinked. "I wanna make out now." She took Beck's hand and he sighed.

"Bye babe." Beck pecked Jade's lips and walked away to go make out with his girlfriend. He stared back at her with a longing look on his face as Cat dragged him away from her.

Jade sighed and walked over to the janitor's closet. "Throwing up or just gagging?" She asked through the door.

"Gag-ging. You can come in."

Jade opened the door and saw Tori dry heaving in a bucket. "Thanks, but you shouldnt have done that. You could be stuck dating him for awhile."

"I can last a week, I think, but with any luck Robbie says something by the end of the week." Tori finished gagging and brought her head up.

Jade pat her on the back to be nice. "Remember when I said we've been stuck since middle school, well I meant freshman year. It's been 3 years. Good luck, Vega." She said as she walked out of the janitor's closet.

Tori turned back to the bucket and hurled at the thought of dating Robbie for 3 years. "I can't do this."
