Today you woke up alone, so immediately, you went downstairs to see why and what Tae was doing. You found him on the couch, watching a cute little cartoon. You walked around the sofa and in front of him to sit down next to him. He is staring at the tv but not really watching it. There is something on his mind, and judging by the look of him, it is something serious.

After a few minutes, you decided to try getting his attention.

"Taehyung... are you okay?" You quietly enquired.

He turned to look at you, said nothing, then looked back to the tv.

"Taehyung, please, talk to me... you're worrying me." You begged.

Taehyung looked over at you a second time. Those beautiful brown eyes of his had softened along with his facial expression.

"I'm so sorry, baby. I didn't mean to scare you. I'm not mad at all or even slightly upset. I wanted to let you sleep when I woke up, and that's why you found me down here. I have been thinking, though, and I think we should talk..."

You looked at him, and even though his tone was extremely calm, he still made you feel uneasy.

He hesitated for a minute, and again he was reading you like an open book because he took your hands into his as he continued.

"I think we should sit here and talk... about anything and everything... I want us to know everything about each other from now on. I know it isn't going to be easy. I'm sure we both have things that would be hard to talk about, maybe even embarrassing. I still feel like we need to do this. What do you think, jagi? I will go first if you want me to." Taehyung stated.

"I like that idea. Like you just said, some things will be tough to talk about. I think it's a good idea."

You paused for a few seconds...

"If you don't mind going first, Taehyung, I would like it if you did." You expressed.

Taehyung was still holding one of your hands and tracing your fingers with his free hand. He was quiet like that for a few minutes, as if he was deciding where he wanted to start.

"Jackson and I first became friends in third grade, and we were really close for many years. During our sophomore year in high school, he changed... and not in a good way. You see, I was always that guy most of the girls wanted to be with. I got notes in my locker all the time. I only dated two girls in high school... the first one ended up cheating on me with our star quarterback... just barely a week after she and I had sex for the first time. The second one, not long after I had crashed and burned. I mean, I fell hard for her. She started blowing me off whenever I wanted to go somewhere with her or do something together. I soon found out that she was hanging around Jackson, and then he stole her from me. This is why I am so careful with the girls I choose to be with. The first time I saw you, though, I knew you were the one. I don't ever want to be with anyone else."

He hesitated, finding his words.

You gently squeezed his hands, urging him to continue.

"It's okay, Oppa. Take your time. I'm listening." You said, trying to reassure him.

He sighed heavily before beginning again.

"Before all of that, before my friendship with Jackson even... I had two older brothers. They were sixteen and seventeen when eomma had me. Despite our age differences, we were very, very close. When I was nine, they both went into the military. They served almost two years when..." He trailed off and began to cry a little.

He squeezed your hands before continuing. This was hard for him.

"They were in active duty, and they died on the field... cold, and in a lot of pain. Then years later, I lost my grandma too, which you already know. I want to tell you one last thing, and please, baby... just let me say it..."
