Riding to the airport in his truck with him, knowing he has to leave and will be gone for five days... just the thought of that made you feel sad because you had never willingly been apart from him for so long.
You sat next to him with your arms lightly wrapped around his, and your head was resting on his shoulder. It seemed like it didn't take very long to get there, but before you knew it, he was parking the truck in the garage.
He laid his head on yours, but only for a moment.
"C'mon, Minah, we have to go. I need time to get through security." He says flatly as he gently makes you sit up, taking his arm away.
You slid over and got out the other door, grabbing a bag for him.
After he locked up the truck, he handed you the keys.
"Level B for beautiful." He smiled as he took your hand and interlaced his fingers with yours.
Typical, wonderful Taehyung, saying something sweet so that you could remember where he parked the truck later.
Still holding his hand, you followed him into the airport and to the line for security. He took the bag off of your shoulder and set it on the ground, then planted a soft but quick kiss on your lips.
The hug he pulled you into afterward was warm like always but slightly different. He held onto you for a lot longer and quite a bit tighter than usual, almost as if he was reluctant to let go of you. Slowly he broke apart the hug; his hands slipped down to your hands, gently caressing them.
"Be careful and stay safe while I'm gone, okay, Minah? I will be back before you know it, and then we will have a party to host." He says sweetly as he kisses you on the forehead.
You gazed up at him, deep into his eyes. "I will be fine, Taehyung. Focus on your work, and don't worry about me. Have a safe flight, I love you, and I will see you soon." You softly replied as you slipped away from him, turned around, and headed out, making your way back to his truck.
The further you walked away from him, the more you missed him. The urge to turn around and run back to him kept growing stronger and stronger every second. It took everything you had to keep walking without looking back to see if he was standing in line watching you leave.
Your heart felt heavier than ever before, and your mind began to conjure up questions once again. 'How am I going to keep busy until he comes home? The diner is still closed... how much can there be to do around his house for so many days?' Since the day you met, the most you have been apart from him was barely two days.
You re-traced the steps you remembered having taken with him earlier; getting back to his truck was no problem. Taehyung had made sure of that for you.
"Level B for beautiful." His charming words rang inside your head as you walked up to his truck, unlocked it, and climbed in the driver's seat.
How you managed to safely drive his truck from the airport back to his house was utterly indistinct, all you could think about was Taehyung.
After parking his truck, you just sat there, staring at his house, realizing that you would have to go in there all alone this time.
Quite some time passed, and you were still sitting there in Taehyung's truck, staring at his house... as if something was going to change somehow.
Finally, you got out of his truck and went inside his house. It was so quiet without Taehyung there... too quiet. Music. That should help. It took a minute, but you remembered how to use the soundbar set on the table in front of his tv. After looking around, you decided to do some housework, hoping it would occupy a huge amount of time.
